Games are Art.

Art does not have to depict only nice things, nor does it have to pander to the morals or ethics of any individual or group. Nor does it have to comply with external pressures to censor itself. Michealangelo's David, The Virgin in a Condom, and countless other pieces of art have been called profane and many more will be called so in the future, yet these pieces of art are still available for public viewing.

In this case it is clear that the fantasy world depicted in this game is not a pleasant place. Bad things happen.

It is also clear that the game does not depict human trafficking, slavery or any of the other things you have complained about, nor is GGG endorsing or tacitly approving of the same.

Perhaps your time would be better spent somewhere where the things your are so upset about are actually happening.

Student, I have already addressed this topic in the OP. The part where I said you can't say "Take games seriously as art!" and "Don't take the messages games have seriously, they're just games!" in the same breath. See, that is being ACTUAL hypocritical. A lot of posters here don't seem to understand what hypocrisy actually is, but thank you for illustrating it for them!

Maybe you just don't understand the message that casually dumping sex slaves in the UI of a game sends? Well it sends this message: "Our game is for ignorant young men who like to look at naked women and don't understand the damage this does to actual real women everywhere who are marginalized and oppressed, and quite often are actually made into real life sex slaves".

Maybe that clears this up for you!

Also in case anyone is still confused, the problem is how women are depicted in media, which includes games. If it was a few naked women once in a while it would not be as big a deal, but ass titties ass ass titties all the time is a problem. Sexual slavery is a problem, a real life problem. I know you most likely don't know someone who was actually a sex slave, but I bet you know a rape victim even if they've never told you.

Want to know what offends me? People so damn offended by a tiny detail in a game that they are too busy over analyzing, attempting to put real world meaning to artwork. If you had any ability to separate games from real life you would notice.
