That is basically what is going to happen, but it has nothing to do with you or any other forum poster like you. It has to do with decisions by the devs to marginalize women and ignore repeated requests to remove incredibly offensive content from the UI. I think you missed the point, maybe because you didn't read the whole OP, but yeah I was basically saying I'm leaving for Diablo 3 since that game doesn't have sex slaves in the UI and is going to steal all the good concepts back from PoE and Diablo 2 that it initially didn't use.

Well if you're really up for story time I'll tell you! I was a teenage white male (big surprise!), and liked Diablo 1 and 2 a whole lot! They were not exactly perfect games as far as sexism goes, but I was young and didn't realize the implications of these issues. Fast forward to 2013! I'm old! I have a wife and a baby! I have learned a lot about sexism and oppression of women and minorities, and can't look at video games as being harmless the same way I did when I was a teenager. Such is the problem with learning, it opens your eyes to the problems and suffering of others sometimes!

With any hope you and posters like you will have an epiphany some day the way I did, hopefully before you are a shitty partner for your significant other as a result of social programming. Good luck!

If you don't like the girls being chained up to the orbs:

1. Play a different game.

2. Get a mod that changes the UI.

3. Take postit notes and post them over the girls on the UI.

Edit:

Take note that there are most likely females that don't give a crap that there are females chained to the orbs. Also keep in mind that there might also be females that play this game and like seeing that.

Just because something is there doesn't mean that the entire gender automatically hates it. This is called ignorance.

Well look at you, trying to turn the argument around :D Very good, except your not-even-anecdotal "evidence" of "someone somewhere thinks this way" doesn't mean fucking shit, so don't bring that to an argument. Ok so not actually very good at all!

I like your bullet points though so we'll play with those too:

1. I like this game, a lot, what I don't like is the UI and changing the UI won't make the game worse

2. I shouldn't have to, the game should not be offensive by default

What I find funny is that you're focusing on something that is not only minor, but something that is entirely an assumption. They're just women chained to the health/mana orbs. Are they slaves? Maybe, or perhaps they represent something more abstract.

You simply want to impose your own worldview on everyone playing the game because you can't handle a little UI art. Well, guess what? You're being a whiny bitch.

I doubt you'd even care if it was MEN chained to the globes instead of women, right?

Not to mention, complaining about this when the game has loads of violence, gore, and simply disturbing imagery (Such as the Lunaris three body piles/carts that evoke thoughts of the Holocaust) is just silly and misguided.
