Orb Candy, Diablo 3, and Sending a Message
" Pack it up, boys. This guy's a troll. Posting to SRSgaming on reddit is proof of that. Last edited by Jason_GGG#0000 on Nov 26, 2013, 10:51:14 AM

" Nice argument, especially when you start off with opinions and feelings. You are asking GGG to completely remove something that they intentionally added, and probably added to aim at a certain group of people. This obviously does not include you. Since this does not include you, they obviously did not intend for you to know about it and bring your easily offended mind to their forums. I'm sorry that you found this wonderful game and find it so offensive. Assuming that you actually treat this as a game-which I know you don't-, you shouldn't care about any nudity, sexism, and/or offensive content that such a falsehood would have. It's a game. Games are meant for people who enjoy them to immerse themselves in a world that they like while they play. I would be willing to bet that most players don't really care about the girls on the orbs because they are more focused on the actual gameplay. I can tell this because people like Kripp spend their time making videos, participating in races, and power leveling with a full group of friends. A lot of time spent staring at the offensive content, huh? However, there are some people that do look and stare at such content, and talk about it on the forums. There was someone who posted something along the lines, "My wife didn't like the sexism in this game, there should be a slider to completely remove it and increase it by like 100%". This would probably be the best "fix" for you and anyone else that has a problem with "offensive content". I await to see how you say that my argument is baseless, opinionated or opinion-based, and/or is just trolling. |

Wow a lot of bullshit stupid responses to a pretty well written post. I (mostly) don't agree, but seriously people you're making yourselves look childish and retarded.
On-topic: While I agree somewhat that it is unnecessary, I do not agree that this should be taken as offensive in any way or that it implies anything. Someone else brought it up already but I'll mention it. Nudity and sexuality are in no way any worse then graphic violence and gore. Portraying "sex-slaves" on the HP/Mana globes isn't nearly as offensive as the torture, blood, killing, and various other parts of the game. All this stuff happens in real life too! In fact most non-western countries (basically everywhere not the US or Canada) don't consider nudity a very big deal at all. It is just a body, everyone has one, it's ridiculous that some people get offended by seeing boobs (I realize this wasn't your point though). IGN: Dmillz

"That's why I said MOST countries. Why are you nitpicking this? It doesn't make my point any less relevant. IGN: Dmillz

Where do I go to send mail to the GGG moderation team? Not Support since that's backlogged.

Would it be fine if they were two naked dudes chained up to the orbs?

" Do you really, seriously, not get the difference between a woman showing her breasts because she wants to, and a woman being chained to a wall, almost naked, probably for the purpose of being sexually abused? (not many other reasons to chain naked women to walls!) I mean I didn't see it for what it was at first either (problem of privilege and being a white male, the target audience), but if someone had plainly called them sex slaves in front of me I would have seen their point immediately and not tried some half-assed argument about unrelated crap to justify the bullshit in front of my eyes. |
