Plus that makes no sense at all. If that was the case, GGG would have a legitimate reason to remove singapore from the drop-down list, and would easily make an announcement detailing that certain laws pushed them this direction.

I really do not see distributor(s) signing deals without exclusivity. Why would a consumer when given a choice between the game-maker, and a distributor, choose the distributor at all?

People will always choose the "source" (GGG) and not some other distributor company - so sooner or later this "coexisting servers" model wont and cant work out. You either play on the distributor's "in country" gateway / servers / versions, or deal with the ping of connecting to the game maker's gateway far away from you.

I didn't think GGG would give distributors their own "version" of POE to customize/price in micro transactions as they deem fit (essentially make their own POE over time) - is there a specific announcement/link for this (for distributor having right to modify the game/micro transaction items/prices etc I mean)?.

Edit: Chris mentioned different payment methods, which make sense. I went and checked otu the poe.garena website and forums now. Didnt see any information on them changing the game/ micro-transactions etc.

Anyone playing on the Singapore gateway please keep this thread alive and keep pushing GGG for a response. This could very easily turn into a slippery slope where eventually they shut down the now hidden Singapore gateway all together. We need to make our voices heard that this is not an acceptable outcome and if anything they need to back peddle and make the Singapore gateway viewable again.

Well, it just goes to show what people will do for profits, even gamers.
Thanks GGG, it's been a fun few months since Open Beta, but if Garena were to be my only choice, I'd rather not play the game at all, as much as I love this game. This statement comes after having tried and played on the Garena servers for the past week or so, and realising the lag/desync is just as horrible as the international server, while they are still several patches behind, with no new leagues or races in sight.

on a sidenote - anyone else experiencing massive ping spikes on Singapore gateway today?

Even with the Singapore gateway now i can feel lag and desync. All the while for months everything was okay until TODAY. Garena is just a sucky server... i rather quit than to play in Garena seriously. Are they GGG gonna make us leave with this gateway and lagging thing on purpose?
