Hi GGG,Is the Singapore gateway removed?

If its a move to restrict and hinder SEA players, at least face us and give us an official annoucement. No news, no email, no nothing. A full workday went by and not even a single official reply at here or the reddit thread.

GGG, please.
If this is happening, will there be an option to allow us to transfer our microtransactions and existing points over to garena poe too? because im not really inclined to be spending money on garena.

Fun stuff:

Can't even ID your items. I guess we're culturally more hardcore than the rest of the world.

Let me get this straight - there is NO good re-distributors in SEA. Cherry Credits price their micro transactions 3 to 4 times the price of foreign server's equivalent, justifying themselves by saying Singaporean are developed and have a much, much stronger spending power.

Is that a joke? Did some company really try to justify their price gouging by saying Singaporeans have MORE spending power?! True the average GDP per capita in Singapore is higher than in most countries but that is skewed by all the millionaires and rich CEO's working in the finance and porting industries. The average Singaporean local is paid PEANUTS.

Fresh graduates can only expect to make 2,000-3,000 SGD a month. Not even enough to leave their parents house. Plus I happen to know that their employers treat them like slaves. Add all this shit up with the fact that the cost of living here is about as high as New York City and not only do people NOT have a lot of expendable income, but they are actually struggling to stand on their own feet.
Keep PoE2 Difficult.

Wow, if they try to force us to move onto their servers I'll either have to use a proxy or just quit PoE all together.

Chris specifically states that Garena agreed there will be no IP restriction for existing users.

Inconvenient I agree. Annoying most definitely.

I would be curious what the exact reasoning behind including Malaysia/Singapore in this agreement is. The reason explained in the forum post by Chris would appear not to apply in this area.

ie, No laws prohibiting it, not really a big cultural difference (especially Singapore), currency is freely convertible to US dollar.

The only reason I can see for this is that Garena insisted on Singapore/Malaysia being included in the contract if they wanted to publish in S Korea and China.
Well a work day just passed and GGG still refuses to comment on this matter. My disappointment grows as i wait.

Exactly. Just for example's sake, Dragonest Taiwan and Dragonest SEA have such a disparity in microtrans price its laughable. I recall the exact same costume cost 3 times as much in the SEA version.

(That said, i've heard about the EU version cost even more, twice the price of SEA, so...)
I hate microtransactions in general, POE is the first game that I was willing to pay for these things. It's because I think that GGG is a company with integrity, moral, and respect for gamers. I want to support you guys.

It's pain me to say that I have lost all my respect for you guys after this update. You said that you won't force players to migrate to Garena servers, but you secretly remove Singapore from the gateway list, this shady move gives me the message that we Asians are not wanted here. And it makes me starting to doubt that one day you will eat your own words and block us from accessing your servers.

I'm not from Singapore btw, but I fear the day when you make a contract with some of the re-distributors in my area (Taiwan and Hong Kong).

In case you don't know, all the re-distributors in my area are bad, they will change your game, lower the drop-rate, make the game P2W, add microtransactions that don't fit the game's aesthetic, raise the exp requirement to lvl-up, and not to mention shitty connections and customer services. Most important of all, they will demand you to block our IPs. And no, your contract with them won't stop it.

I just want a word from you guys, what's your plan on this? Are you going to permanently hide Singapore from the list because of your contract with Garena? Are you going to block us one day? Just make a simple reply, I appreciate your honesty.
