After watching krip stream ROS
" Heh, nice to see someone who understands, that you can enjoy some aspects of both games. And actually play both. Unfortunately, we will have to choose between (t)radeRPG and (a)rcadeRPG and still we don't have truly (a)ctionRPG to play with. Anticipation slowly dissipates...

" i saw the stream too... i have 900+ hours of d3 logged in and most of it was the first few months (i beat diablo before the nerfs in sc and shortly after 1.03 in hc) and cant find the same enjoyment in the game since playing poe.... the problem with the game isnt one particular thing...its a number of things, when added up, fails at retaining the fun aspect... for me, the constant nerfs...if you get the right build...youre basically invincible and there is ZERO challenge my first diablo fight took nearly half an hour...with the constant fear of getting 1 shot by his cage in phase3...after the nerfs (and insane gearing up), i was able to kill him in under 30 seconds (most of the time was from cinematics) the one thing great about poe is that you can die and the chances of facerolling this game are very difficult ...the lack of true itemizing...the lack of having a specialized character (i played a monk, so im guessing you can guess what my build was)...the blacksmith is utterly useless, crafting in that game was absolute garbage and a waste of time. poe's lack of a gold system is truly ingenious and acts as a natural way of balancing the games economy and checking the economy. their crafting system is very deep and blows away diablo 3's "click and pray" system. the skill tree is also a great move. i think people will play d3 upon its expac release, i am debating it...but i am thinking of holding off until i read more reviews..the server crashes and login issues will be insane. " It was not true after introduction of archon schematics, you are able to produce BiS items with little luck. And it will be even less true in RoS. Unfortunately, except linking and chroming, I was unable to craft anything really useful in PoE in almost year of play... Anticipation slowly dissipates...

" i played a little bit and had the brimstone rings? or whatever theyre called and never really crafted the stuff using demonic essence because by that time, they were just increasing gear rating to satisfy the MP10 players... "The problem with scrubcore is that it is full of of scrubs"

PoE is no different than Titan Quest, a decent ARPG to fill the void between big releases. PoE will die in time solely to the fact that GGG just does not have the available resources to fix all the major issues with the game. I know all those "hardcore" gamers out there that put 12+ hours a day into video games will disagree, but that's the way it is........"normal" people play maybe 2-3hrs at the most a day. Want to know another cool statistic? Those "casual" gamers also tend to spend the most money on video games because they often have a larger disposable income as opposed to the "hardcore" gamer living off a part-time job and public assistance.
