After watching krip stream ROS

D3 haters gonna hate , fact is they took most complains we had about the game and fixed them. The only thing thats still missing is a skill tree. But they have their owne form of maps , and crafting ect.

Id say GGG cant chill out the competition is on and i am eager to see both games improve even more.

The most horrendous thing is still in the Game. Of course I am talking about......Health Globes and Potion Cooldown.

I hate Health Globes and Potion Cooldowns with a fiery passion.

I hate skill cooldowns in ARPG games so much, you want to spamm skill and kill stuff fast not wait forever to use skills to smash monsters. Leave cooldowns for mmorpgs.

But the biggest flaw in the game still is unchanged. The lack of character individuality.

This is a huge problem that is not going to get fixed but as a self-found solo player who has regular job the fixes to loot system could be enough to make Ros worth while. Especially since I see now indication that Poe's loot system is going to be changed for the better. Still, I got burned so badly by D3 that I'm not sure if I'm going buy it and definitely not on launch.
Like all Blizzard games, Im going to give RoS a chance.

But even with all the fixes, I doubt Diablo 3 will ever reach the complexity and deep gameplay of Path of Exile. That said, Diablo 3 does have its merits. Just not for me.

Funny because the thing i hate most about what they are doing and what made me give up on hoping D3 to be fixed is removal of AH... who the f wants to spam chat and forums to sell /buy smth ?
Then bind on pickup legendaries, removal of life leech (iconic stat in ARPG if you ask me) and overally reseting the game (mind you when D3 released they said that expansion might not rise level cap... right).

PoE got nothing to fear, it doesn't mean it will be more popular obviously but is different enough to have its own fanbase.
it's gonna be a lot of fun =).

i spent a lot of hours into d3 and the biggest issues i had with the game was the lootsystem and how nothing ever seem interesting . I anticipate about a 100 hours of fun or so with the expansion and it's gonna be mad fun at that :D.

don't get me wrong though poe is the better game by far but when it comes to sheer joy from smashing demons mindlessly then D3 wins without much competition from any game =)

I am looking forward to it, D3 was a lot of fun for what it was. I don't look to games to fulfill me on some spiritual level, or to get a sense of actual accomplishment from them. Sometimes you want to think and sometimes you don't... not that PoE is somehow mentally taxing lol.

Happy hunting/fishing
Diablo III: ROoS is making strides to at least correct flaws in itself, though sadly there are still major glaring issues - gear being far too important, skills still tied far too intrinsically to weapon damage, not enough character customization, and way too many cooldowns on skills to name a few - that aren't being dealt with. The one issue that does seem to be addressed (maybe too much focus on it) is the fact that players can actually go through the game self-found and actually get UPGRADES and generally good loot for themselves. Not only that, but from what little I've seen the legendary items are getting (testing) out actual interesting ideas like one shield actually removing the movement speed penalty a Crusdaer gets for using the passive that lets them hold a two-handed weapon in one hand while still wearing a shield.

That and I even saw a few set pieces dropped and one was actually catering to the 'Thorns' type damage and even had a set bonus that allowed the damage to either be pulsing out at set intervals 15 yards away from the player, or the damage will reflect to all monsters 15 yards away from the player whenever the effect is activated from monster hits. Again, I won't say that RoS is going to necessarily be a 'threat' to PoE, but in terms of loot...it's definitely doing things right that this game isn't doing right and that may be enough of a reason for people to quit this game and go to that one. Whether they come back after that remains to be seen, but still...just my observation.
Well D3 is going up, whereas PoE is offering nothing but nerfs every other week.. I know which one i'm going to play :)
