There is a known fix guys just right click the computer icon>manage>device manager>right click your network driver>properties>driver>roll back driver and your good to go

What fixed this error for me is new istaler.
Try instal/reinstall using NEW instaler. Login to websire and download or use steam.

The following worked for me:
1. Navigate to Path of Exile folder (default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile)
2. Delete everything except Content.ggpk (this way you don't have to download the whole game again)
3. Download and run the latest game installer from the official website (https://www.pathofexile.com).
4. Enjoy this great game!

This is what I did. I think I had some files from a previous install from 2013 so I uninstalled game then deleted the GGG folder and the folder in mygames.

Redownloaded launcher file, installed and now it is allocating space.

Hey guys! so when you get this issue, i fixed it by downloading the newest version of Wineskin WINERY.

Once i downloaded it, i followed the instructions in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSUh_JZRGSQ

WHAT I DID DIFFERENTLY: When you download the MAC OSX file (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/48708),

INSTEAD OF PUTTING THE APP INTO THE APPLICATIONS FOLDER, I created a folder on my desktop and labled it "Path of Exile" and put the direct downloaded file from https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/48708 on that.

Next i followed the instructions from the youtube video above, doing the same thing with the path of exile file, and voila, works perfect for me :) hope this helps you guys!

I had this problem. I was using an old installer. Uninstall POE and use the installer from this site. BINGO!

Absolutely confirmed. Goto the game folder and manually delete everything but "content.ggpk". Then install from the official site, it will notice a problem and ask to repair or uninstall. Choose repair, run the installer and Viola!

p.s. I, as a consumer of technology and video games, cannot BELIEVE I tried to play a game, absolutely could not, due to the "latest patch" force download, that is obviously broken, and upon further investigation I find 50 messages of broken and the only solutions offered are "It must be YOUR computer, fix it, if you want to play".
A: My computer runs everything, just fine. With the sole exception of the latest patch of POE. Is the problem really on ME?
B: The damage done by making it difficult for people to experience your product cannot be quantified. WHATEVER the problem is, wifi drivers, winsock, it DOESN'T matter. people CANNOT PLAY the game. Kill the forced patch, allow EVERYONE to play, join the party and contribute...Why the H-E double hockey sticks, am I dealing with this in,...almost December??!

p.s. #2 - Love the game, the design, and the concept overall. I've played since 2013, and was just trying to jump back in...Not a newbie freeloader. I've given cash to support, and will continue to do so. I support these guys and this game. I'm perplexed, not angry.

Yes, the problem is on your end...as hundred-thousands of people patched without an issue. This is a rare occurance, and the fix is a simple one. Something got borked during the transfer; shit like this happens all of the time, and not just in the POE world. I work in IT, and I can certainly attest to the weird shit that can happen when patches fail because of network issues. At least this one is solvable without reformatting your entire PC.

And this is a 3 year old post, and your worried about it being December?
