Received a packet that is too large to deserialize
I have this problem now. I'm sad they think so little of it that a real solution hasn't been offered. I guess no money from me... I had such high hopes for this game.

If you are having this problem, could you please try updating your wifi drivers? If there are no current updates available, and the problem has only recently started for you, you may need to do a rollback of your current wifi drivers.

start > run > cmd > right click run as admin then try the three commands: netsh winsock reset catalog netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log reboot your pc. does it help? if not.. POE probably accidentally turned on jumbo frames on their switches/routers etc that may be causing the issue. try the latest version if realtek from their site (see my thread) . otherwise for other nics like intel: http://majorgeeks.com/downloads35.html https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/342287 as seen here try NIC instead of wireless NIC: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/247162 try enabling or disabling jumbo frames: http://www.maximumpc.com/article/howtos/how_enable_jumbo_frames Last edited by jerger#3410 on Apr 23, 2013, 10:38:21 PM

I also had this problem windows 7 64 bit, all i needed to do was the usual problem with games with windows 7. Right click on PoE and click "Run as Administrator"
Good luck i hope this solves some of your problems. |

Jason_GGG, THIS IS NOT a problem with our wireless drivers, this is a problem with YOUR game. I have no trouble downloading ANYTHING else on my machine, I am constantly updating Diablo 3 and it works like a charm. So PLEASE no PETTY excuses and LAME suggestions, but get on your asses and fix the problem if you really want this game to make it. You CAN'T expect users to roll, update or use another machine should they want to play a game, get SERIOUS!

" It is a problem with the drivers...read the thread, there are plenty of people getting the problem fixed by rolling back the driver...if you don't think it is then why don't you give them the Brand/model number and driver version so they can test it rather than having a wee tantrum? @Elynole: have you worked in the IT industry in any form? I'm trying to do these guys a favor, not lynch them, my post might seem harsh, but for their sake it ain't.
@lagwin1980: my wireless device is using latest drivers, no updates have been issued since I bought it, so there is nothing to update/rollback. The device is D-Link DWA-140 RangeBooster N USB Adapter(rev.B2). As I said, ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING else is downloading/updating, so saying that my drivers are the problem sounds ridiculous under these circumstances, don't u think?
