Haste aura is grossly underpowered

Haste is complete bullshit for being a 60% aura. 9% Movement Speed, 16% IAS/ICS. Thats like 5-6 passive nodes for 60% of your mana...awful.
Holy necro batman. Speaking of necro, i consider haste madatory on my summoners. The dps boost is great and all but move speed = clear speed on summons.

Also, since when is 4k armor hard to hit? Since 2013 apparently =D

I actually agree. I think Haste should only reserve 40% (even if it means lowering the IAS/ICS by a little) and give more movement speed.

Why use Haste right now when you could use two Herald gems, reserve less mana, and deal more damage (I know that's how it works on my aura builds at least)? Sure, the cast/attack speed is really nice, but not 60% mana reserved nice. Then there's movement speed, which is seen as superfluous by a huge portion of the playerbase when there are skills like Lightning Warp or Leap Slam to get you around faster.

As literally everyone else in the thread that has agreed that it's fine said, the answer to "Why use Haste right now" is for parties and minion support.

Haste when using SRS is crazy--your cast speed goes up, their attack speed goes up. Even in a party, if you aren't primary DPS, you use haste, and everyone around you using double heralds gets both bonuses.

Further, and independently of that reason, it's affected by "increased aura effectiveness" nodes, which is not true for any Herald gem. Heralds are affected by buff effectiveness and nothing else.


It sounds like what a lot of the whiners in this thread want is a "herald of speed" that's costed specifically for solo play. But right now, _no_ auras are costed for solo play, so please stop pretending like they are.

Ok, that's fair. Then perhaps solo/non-minion players could use a "mini Haste". Anger, Wrath, and Hatred, the only other 60% mana reserved auras that add damage, have Herald counterparts, so why not a Herald of Speed?

Haste is excellent for 2h cyclone.

Haste/Hatred/Herald of Ash with one 4% mana reduced node gives you 99% reserved at lvl 20 reduced mana.

4k base armor is very hard to hit.


Auras should mostly be used by groups, because you know - the more people use one person's aura, the more powerful it is. It is not meant to be powerful for one target. Derp.

But still it is ok to use auras for solo play. OP?
