That's not really true though. If you give someone five fusings for a 6L lottery attempt, even if they link you the result after each fusing attempt, there's nothing to stop them from using an eternal orb when a fusing hits the 6L, continuing to use a few fusings they already had to finish off your attempts, and then recall the stored version of the item in the eternal. Granted, they're out an eternal, but I've never seen a lottery draw any attention that didn't use a buttload of exalts as the lure.

i agree.... after thinking about it.. its actually pretty easy to scam you even without using an eternal.... just so long as you give them like 5 fusings.. they just show you one of the failed links already used instead of the link that succeeded...... unless the link to the linked item becomes immediately stale after you fuse again.

Well, link becames stale, actually.

Should just ban people using these scams. I mean trade chat was garbage to begin with but now this crap is spammed repeatedly and we all know its a scam.

Its as easy as, I have 2 exact same stat fox shade armors but to make it much easier.

I can use an unmodded white armor and pretend to use the fuse or chrom or wtfe you wanna give my stash for food and simply show you another same white armor that cost me "1" transmutation orb from the vendor.
just grab six vendor armors all same type and show you a different one in order and repeat the order over and over until you go broke feeding my stash

you get it yet?

So, we are expected to believe that someone has 6+ uniques with SAME high-end rolls in stash to scam us? Well, it's possible for some uniques, but still looks not very plausible, and for rares, it's prectically impossible.
The scam can be present, there, of course, when your next currency piece indeed provides desired effect, then trader just saves it with eternal orb, reverts it to previous state using (previously made) imprint, and later, he'll claim he got that effect with own currency.

Oh, and even if those lotteries arent scam ones... Payment for win is far less than average amount of orbs needed to achieve result. The only one who wins there, is the owner of item.
