Lotteries are dumb to begin with, at least in real life you could actually win enough money to never work again instead of virtual pixels.

Also people who actually partake in Path of Exile lotteries are next level, even if they paid out every single time 100% of the time your still ripping yourself off.

Giving someone fusings to make a 6link to then give you something in return is like you giving me money to buy a lottery ticket, and then if I win I give you half.

I get to play the lottery at 100% no cost to myself and get the benefits for someone else paying for me.

Even if the lottery paid something like 35 exalts which would be a price of a 6 link exalt of certain generic items, I'm still ripping you off because I get use a ton of fusings at 100% no cost to myself and only pay out when I get the result that I want.

If your going to say "Oh what If I give someone 1 fusing and I win the lottery", why not use that fusing on a random item yourself and win a 6 link item? Your chances don't increase and you won't ever win more giving it to someone else.

The only time I've ever say joining a lottery is that for some reason the lottery pays out higher then what it would cost to gain the same item, or at least the exact amount of money that it cost for a 6 link if the person is trying to make a godly 6 link no one else has.

Anyone can have two of the same item, with same stats and same name.

you gotta realize that all someone has to do is start linking 1 item, when it hits 6L, start linking the other and keep the fusings. If they are not live streaming I would believe it is a scam. Especially when live streaming is built into the game now.

There are clear limitations to how this could occur and on "crafted" pieces it would clearly be harder to do so than on uniques. Also ask if the person has unlocked the 6L achievement. If they have, your chances are drastically reduced. I still make new accounts to link my items or chance siege axes for example. Have seen much success doing so. There is no real RNG, there are parameters. RNGBaal is real, RNGJesus... not so much.
