Scrotie wants YOU to help prevent PoE's economy from becoming more like D3's

I'd rather have every drop be account bound (with drop rates adjusted accordingly) so that killing mobs is the most efficient way to gear up.

I'm sure that facebook and iPads have pently of trading/bartering sims for those who prefer that style of gameplay.

tonight I figured to blow some chaos buying items for a little upgrade, sit here calculating numbers and browsing poexplorer for like 3 or 4 hours... 90% of sellers not online so I have to leave them a message. well, even with these search engine available, trading still pretty much a game of it's own... =(

if majority of players don't price their item, I bet I'll be sitting here 10 more hours.

sure, people can argue that I should go farm. Well, just hit level 70, do some farming around catacomb and a few maps tonight. Nothing special, at least earned a few chaos but no great item loots (which is highly frustrating, NO items again)

talk about fusing, several 5 or 6 sockets item on my stash & 8 fusing left. First fusing, wow a 5-links! The last 2 fusing... wow another 5 links! really?

Your problem is that you think this type of transformation is preventable. It isn't. The reason it happens is because there is demand for it. People want buyouts. People want to search for items and get them when they want/need them. People don't want to waste their time "haggling." That's especially true when a huge portion of the player base is made up of complete morons.

If people didn't want the type of services offere by xyz, including buyouts, the site would not be so widely used. YOU are the minority. People posting that agree with you are the minority. If that weren't the case, this thread would not be necessary because no one would be using those features.

People want to play a hack & slash ARPG and have fun. Most don't want to spend hours playing a horrible economic simulator with awful trading tools.

the only bad aspect of a d3 like system is that bots can automate buyout with a click.

you cant do that with POE.XYZ and i find the website to be quite helpful.

regardless of how POE.XYZ works, it will NEVER be like d3,

YOU CANT SNIPE DEALS BEFORE AN AUCTION END FOR CHEAP.

YOU CANt MAKE A BOT BUYOUT ITEMS WHEN THERE IS NO BUYOUT BUTTON.

IT STILL REQUIRE PLAYERS TO ENGAGE IN MEANINGFUL TRADE NEGOTIATIONS.

GGG bases drop rates with the economy in mind just like d3 did, so many people like myself reach a point usually in act2 merc WHERE YOU ARE FORCED TO TRADE. I have grind ed till my eyes were bleeding trying to find my own gear.


So you force people into trading and then wonder why so many people are calling for a ah or something of that nature. Most agree that the current trading in POE is a fucking chore. If you are going to force people to trade as this game seems to do at a point, there needs to be a better way to do it.

Heres Scrotie telling everyone how the the game should be played once again.

GGG should pay xyz (well at least he probably gets money through ads now) as his website is the only thing keeping POE alive. POE's lack of trading solutions is ridiculous for people that don't spend all day searching through individual trade threads or spam-filled trade chat.

This reminds me of something that happened a long time ago. I was discussing music with someone i went to school with, and we were young. I was trying to tell him that i didn't listen to mainstream music, like the garbage on your common radio, because it was crap. I wanted to listen to the music that touched my very essence, but i did not know that back then..

In any case, he told me that music on the radio is better, because everyone listens to it, and that i had to surrender to it because it would always win.

More specifically, he was trying to bash me because i listened to a different genre and not the random garbage everyone listened to where i grew up, he was trying to make me become one of the masses by arguing that my tastes would always lose out because fewer listened to it, and that it would be best for myself if i played the same tunes as everyone else.

TLDR: You are an agent of the matrix, you cannot argue from a popularity point of view.

GGG needs to take the reins on trading and either:A) set up a official pricing guide on forums or B)Recognize one of these third parties and endorse them for POE(GGG has done this few times already,etc:razer,twitch,steam)

Mostly though I am all for a AH its was quick and easy (lol d3 gets rifts we get the AH).

Or add a cooldown to people in trade chat:1 msg every min per person so we can read what people put up.

pricing guide on rares? that is literally impossible.

Putting up a timer in chat so you cant constantly spamm your crappy rares and so people can actually read or post their own wtb/wts in the chat.
