Yeah, ok buddy.

lol way better...keep telling yourself that.

I got 25% fire resist, 30% cold and 39% lightning. You're calling that crap. OOOOkkkeee

Your rolls are:

13 of 45 ( this is MEGAcrap)
18 of 45 (again, MEGAcrap)
27 of 45 (Mediocre)
86 of 109 (Good roll but ckay27 did hit the maxroll)
109 of 120 (Your FIRST Highroll on Chest)
13 of 28 (Mediocre)

So you got 2x crap, 2x mediocre, 1x good, 1x high

If i would be you, i would Chaos/Exalt the Chest again. Not worthy to be on a 6L at all man. All my 5L have way better mods...

I agree.

all by myself.

IMO, this whole lottery '6L my shavronnes, win 10 exalts!' derived from streamers.
I never saw it happening before onslaught.
People think, 'hey, if that famous streamer can do it, I should be able to attract a few people!'

Same as the people who fall for it. What makes POE lotteries different than the ones IRL?

You pay you lose but you can win something even if the chance is low, you have a chance of getting screwed IRL too, with lotteries.

I'm not too fond of how common these lotteries are, you can certainly get lucky (my brother won like 60 chaos with about 20 jewelers and a single fusing, 6 socketing and 5 linking 3 items).

The real problem though, is scamming. I'm sure most of the lotteries are legit (that is, they're run at the expense of people who participate, generally) and some people get lucky.

What's to stop me from say, getting a few 6 socket uniques (say quill rain), chroming them to the same colors and then just hoarding fuses while I post differently linked versions of the thing?

On the contrary I enjoy the crafting system, even though I have the worst fusing luck in history. You can look at my chars = I've never 5linked in a lot of play time.

This is "not that good", imo

Ideally what you want is something like mine:

Notice it has 3 resists + life

Now your armor has 1 big resist + top end life.

In this game man, you want a crap load of resists on gear + the life. The MOOOOOORRREE the better. That chest sadly only has one. Of course it can probably roll other resists, but it's a gamble. Rather just trade for an already GG item that has all I want.

wow was that ironic? if: good.
comparing a 13 fire resists titty armor of scrubcore with a upperclass armor of nemesis?!
forum is so fanny these days
This was never about people doing lotteries, because if the system is a huge lottery, how can you blame people for using it?

The issue is that all these lotteries bring up the truth about the so called "crafting" system GGG has in place.

Every time someone does a "5L my chest, get 2 exalts!" it points out that the linking is a lottery.
And there's so many of them these days. I'm beginning to think that the majority of people (especially the rich) don't craft their own gear, they outsource it to the poor.

I mean seriously GGG. If no one crafts their gear any more, how the fuck can you still call it a "crafting" system?

Man up and admit it's a Lottery system, not a crafting system. Stop this nonsense and just enable us to hold these lotteries properly, make a new NPC to whom you give your shit and it does it for you.

Here's how it goes:
There'll be a new NPC, let's call him This-is-crafting guy.
You give him the reward orbs (or items) and you give him whatever it is you want 5L/6L/GG/Unique
Then this NPC will spam the trade... lottery chat for you.

This is what you wanted GGG, so admit and make it easier for us.

Or, you could also just fix your fuck-up and add fixed prices to linking and chancing and shit, because lotteries do exactly this you numbskulls.

idioticus:
yes this game heavily relies on random outcome to give occasional players a chance to succeed while providing more chances to succeed to no lifers.

this is not the game you're looking for if you want guaranteed progress. and it's not healthy either to play 14h/day, 7d/week.

I have given 3 options to GGG:

1. Ban lotteries.
Why? This goes against their "no quaranteed progress", because if you don't pay for your linking or orbing yourself, you have practically unlimited chances to succeed -> you are paying a set amount of orbs to get what you want through the lottery that GGG calls crafting.

2. Embrace lotteries.
Stop lying to our faces and call this lottery system "crafting" and make a system to help make these public lotteries people are holding scam free.

3. Rework the lottery system into a crafting system.
Since people already got what they wanted for a fixed amount of orbs, why bother with this random shit? Just make it fixed like people have managed to do by themselves.

GGG claims to have integrity and blah blah, so they simply can't admit they've fucked themselves over with this crafting system, because it opens up the possibility for these public lotteries, which circumvent the whole ridiculous system they built.

By the way, is it scamming if I hold a lottery and just pay back the amount of orbs the person whose fusings made my item 5-6L?

I mean, the ones who didn't get my item linked wouldn't have gotten anything anyway, and the guy who did isn't losing anything.
