The ugly truth about lotteries
" Umm GGG doesn't call it crafting, so I don't know why you put it into quotations... Clearly the players think its a crafting system, it's not, its a gambling system to facilitate a currency sink. Only you lot call it crafting. Back to necro topic... I wouldn't risk playing lotto because its so easy to scam. Last edited by RootCookie#0834 on Jun 22, 2014, 7:31:31 AM

So what?
Can a single person state an idea with easy crafting that would not flood the economy that does not include item binding? Current system is well balanced. Grind. Trade. Craft (yes, it is crafting since you are modifying an item) Not sure why people put crafting In quotes. You modify an item in a way that does have a guaranteed result. Jewelers change number of sockets. Fusing changes number of links. Augmentations add a second mod 100% of the time. Regals add a 3rd mod 100% of the time. Exalted adds a 4th, 5th and 6th mod 100% of the time (on non-uniques) These are all guaranteed and do modify the item from the original that was found. Name one way to have predetermined results that won't flood the market and does not bind items and I'll jump on the bandwagon. I don't think it exists. EDIT: Reason I include without account bound is because I personally can't stand that and I do believe that is the only real way to do it. GGG does not seem behind that and I love the company for it. But I do accept it is one option to meet all the criteria of easy crafting without flooding the market....I personally would move on under that system. Thanks for all the fish! " Well balanced? Player A uses 500 fusings and gets 3 6L items, Player B uses 8000 fusings and has 1 6L, 800/1 and 500/3, I'm no math expert but that doesn't sound well balanced MY SHOP THREAD 485102 Last edited by gorlace616#5723 on Jun 22, 2014, 10:27:23 AM

Player C decides that the risk is not worth it and takes the guaranteed outcome path: turns to market and trades. Anyone who excludes this path is purposely excluding the 'guaranteed' outcome at a premium that they so desperately desire. I have no sympathy for someone who purposely ignores this option and then complains.
It is a dynamic balance that requires all three to be optimal at this game. Removing any single element will lead to a less optimal approach which is fine. But why would anyone have sympathy for someone who shoots them self in the foot and then complains about not being as fast as other runners. Thanks for all the fish!

Agree with OP: The crafting system is very underwhelming and even game breaking for me

" State lottery player A buys 10 tickets each months for 3 years and only gets 2x 500 dollars out of that. State lottery player B buys 10 tickets in his whole life and gets 1 million dollars on his 10th try. Upon hearing that, lottery player A flips his lid and writes an angry public letter to the state lottery about how unfair and unballanced their system is and adds that he will not only stop playing the lottery becouse of that but also tell all his friends not to ever play it. I know it's not exatly the same thing, but i just couldn't resist making the comparison. Last edited by Tom7i#1833 on Jun 22, 2014, 11:23:32 AM

Yep it's a pity the "crafting" system is such a gamble, because the itemization is superbly implemented in this game.

" OP DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER SUGGESTION?? SHOULD WE START HUNTING RHOAS HIDE TO MAKE ARMOUR NOW?? ????????? |

Perhaps being able to narrow the range of mods available to roll on an item or capping the number of fusings before guaranteed 5l/6l.
Failing that let's get scalping those Rhoas! Blasphemous HC-SSF Path of Exile 2 enjoyer.
