Convince me why Armor + Iron reflexes beats acrobatics.

It's all about the build.
If you use RT/Lioneye, you cannot evade reflected damage (bad design imo), so your evasion becomes useless against reflection.
Also if you do a lot of small physical hits (dual strike + multistrike, 300-1500 per hit)), armor will be better, coz reflected damage will be almost completely mitigated.
What is missing for evasion builds is decreased damage from critical (like on maruder tree). When you are unlucky you will die on 1 critical shot. With armor there would be probably 200 or 300 hp left, but you would be alive.

the biggest drawback for me with acrobatics is you will hae way to many green sockets
i.e. i want to use a LS crit dagger build with life (i hate CI even without VP moved) i need many red and blue gems,so why should i even try to go for arc?

in most builds you will run atleast 1 red gem (LL) and for attack users 2 more (weapon ele dmg/more melee dmg) + BM (ofc you could run manaleech instead, but you need a good manapool/reg to support a 5-6linked attack)

as a caster you will have the same problem since your spell is most likely blue and you want to support it with LL,whch means 2 off colors for the start
that you will add spellsupport gems which will very likely be ele pen (you are fine if its a cold spell sine cold is green^^) and faster casting which leaves you with 3-4 off colors

its not impossible to roll that many offcolors, but why even bother with it,when you can create a build that is less spiky in dmg taken and easier to match the socket colors you need? just to use acrobatics
they both have their strong points and weaknesses...almost as if they were "balanced" in some way :)

just saying...as evasion based (not just evasion but dodge/block also) you don't have to worry about status effects, bleed, or stun locks.

if i played hardcore i'd definitely make an evasion/dodge based champ. its VERY easy to get extreme defense from the ranger start point for any build.
the only time i would not build an evasion based champ is if i was going full critical build. eventually you will hit yourself with reflect and depending on your critical damage you will nuke yourself.

Actually, evasion has a built-in anti-crit mechanic (source), so I'd actually say evasion is probably the best extra defense for that kind of build. However, as others pointed out, builds using RT, Lioneye's or spells is not very evasion-friendly in the presence of reflect.
The reason Iron Reflexes > Acrobatics can be summed up in one word.

No. I mean Iron Reflexes + Blind - Unwavering Stance is better than Acrobatics.

My most recent character went acrobatics after reading so much about it on the forums. He doesn't get hit often, that much is true, but when he does, he gets destroyed. Iron reflex character with blind also doesn't get hit very often, but when he does it's not close to fatal, especially since you can then pop a Jade AND Granite flask, and get +3000 to armor +99% armor from BOTH flasks.

One thing that messed up my testing of a dodge / evasion build was The Reaver, boss from the Ghetto map based on Perpetus, bear trapped and EK'd to death, can't really dodge a bear trap that half healths you.
