Where all the exalts come from?
" Prices seem priceless until you reach end game (LVL 80+) and start to farm and trade. I was an unbeliever too, but then I put my mind to it and proved myself wrong. It is possible to generate "cash" and rather quickly too. Once you start to succeed your frame of mind changes. What once was unfair becomes fair. Some people fuss about 1 chaos too much for an item. It becomes increasingly harder to relate when you're buying items for 10+ exalts. What is a few chaos if you want an item? Where are the exalts coming from? Even RMT sites must find them inside the game. They drop. People use them as money. They pile up. Some people use them on maps and crafting, but I suspect they are a select few. The majority of us will probably never use an exalt. |

Diablo 2 was 100x more Bot resistant than POE because POE ecnomic currency is frequent/from the start and stackable shit diablo 2 bot had probably made the game funnier since they were only looting high items leaving the medium and low things to Humans... this destroyed the gap between medium and high end items... you know the shit we see with shavronne and Kaom at 70 ex... I used to have a "friend" in my friendlist that was botting 24/7 for weeks on and end.
He'd always be farming docks and logged out + back in every 5-10 mins (1 full clear). Because of people like him the entire economy is screwed. Seeing items go for 100+ exalts is just crazy. The only way I'll ever get that is by botting or RTM'ing. |

" This. Back in OB at least, I had *maybe* 1 Exalt worth of currency total from leveling 1 character to 70 or so and another to 50. I had found 1 GCP and maybe a dozen Chaos. But then, once I cleared Piety and started farming Docks, then Lunaris, then started doing maps... eventually you start getting gear that you can sell, and you get tons of stuff high enough item level to do the Chaos formula, etc and all of a sudden it's not that big of a deal anymore. I did end up finding 2 Exalts, but the wealth I generated from just trading up other currencies was easily worth 5x that in the 2-300 hours I played. |
