MMM- Massively Multiplayer Online Game MMMORPG- Massively Multiplayer Online Role playing game. PoE will cater to a very large audience so that right there will make it a MMO, but GGG has stated they don't want the connotations that go with that word. The reason is that people don't actually think of the true definition they think of the WOW definition. Still it is important not to get to stuck on labels. By that definition, the call of duty series is an MMO. The generally accepted definition of MMO involves a lot of people in a persistent world. Well now we just arguing over semantics. The fact is that WOW is simply one example of MMORPG's. I liken it to using the word Websters instead of dictionary. Websters is technically the name of the person that created a dictionary, but this is not technically correct. Its hard to say the generally accepted definition because it changes from person to person. Since GGG wants PoE to be known as a Online-ARPG so i think that is what we should call it. Besides PoE most accurately fits into that category. As the instances will only support around 6 people. Yes good sir, I enjoy slaying mythical creatures.
