Free to play = infinite bots

Currency farmers on the other hand...

They are real people, just getting the currency for a company that will sell it for real life money.

And there WILL people doing real life trading.

Why do you see gold farmers as something bad to begin with? They are playing the game, but the difference is that they're doing it for money instead of for enjoyment. They work to produce items to sell. Often they are really poor people who would starve if they didn't do this, and by game companies not allowing it, these people are left to black market employment, without union rights.

It's not that easy to program a bot to respond to things like "Tell me what you think about the US election.", "Tell me how you got your drivers licence." or "How do you open a pickle jar?". Even the more advanced AIs fail at describing things in a topic. They often try to weasel their way out of it, by doing general responses that looks really contrived.

It's not that easy (if not impossible) for non native English speakers to respond to those sorts of questions either.

Because gold farmers/botters give unfair advantages within games which can often cause problems. Influx of currency driving prices up or down to name but 1. Pay to win being the other. If GGG wanted this to be pay to win then they themselves would be selling currency and items to make money so why should others be left to profit from this. It is widely known that most games have gold farmers and that there is not a great deal that can be done about this but to say its simply poor people being exploited is wrong. These so called poor people can go out and get a job in their normal country and earn a wage that is relevant to their economy. So saying they would starve if they did not gold farm is in a word garbage.

What black market employment are these sort of people that you talk about left to do. And god forbid that they don't have union rights that must be so devestating to them.

Go live in a country with 80% unemployment and people who do actually starve to death. Then come back and make your statement. Giving people a means to feed themselves isn't exploitation, it's employment.

However, I do agree that such practices are detrimental to the game, and can ruin the economy for the "real" players. If it can be stopped, great, though I'm fairly sure it can't.

In contrast to bots, gold farmers give a *fair* advantage, through charging a fair price for their services. You calling it unfair is like calling a real-life blacksmith unfair because people can just buy the armour instead of making it themselves.

When you're saying "pay to win", it shows that you value winning in a game, more than money. Other people could just as easily call trading gameplay for money a loss, call that throwing away money on entertainment that you could just watch on YouTube.

However, as GGG *does* want this to be "pay to win", and they plan to finance the game by selling items, the competition might hurt them financially.

Saying that poor people can just "go out and get jobs", is like saying "There's no poverty in the world, just lazy people.". You're also saying that people choose to starve, making me think that you haven't thought that through.

Them not having union rights, means that they will live two people in a 5x5 meter room in the slums, work, eat and sleep without any spare time, or lose their jobs. Without official jobs, these people are exploited under horrible working conditions. The ones who charge the cheapest prices, aren't some rich kids in the states, but poor people from China and Korea.
I really hope we can implement something to combat bots. One of the reasons why I love this game is because its closed beta with no bots. It's exciting to farm your own drops knowing everyone else is doing the same thing. In d2 it was like, why even manual farm? I'm wasting so much effort farming while others are botting while they sleep/work/school, it sucked.
Now, now, don't get on Stretch163's case, they probably come from a comfortable 1st world country where they have no clue as to what it is for people to starve to death and think that they can easily go to the unemployment office and get a job on the spot like they go to the supermarket to buy food...
The Pope quit, a meteor fell on Russia, an
asteroid came close to the earth, there's snow
in Arizona, star wars and star trek have the
same director! Who the hell is playing jumanji?

Im curious as to how you come to the conclusion that GGG want this game to be pay to Win. They are totally against this ethos as any microtransaction are going to be for soley cosmetic purposes.

So why should they be happy for other sites to sell there items or currency ?

Rest of your points not even going to bother with as its not worth it.

Maybe you should try a career in politics or even become a union rep and go to 1 of these under preivelleged countries and help out there.

Maybe even offer your services for free if you have anything to offer.
