Free to play = infinite bots
But still...
There is no main omnipresent gatherable curency(like gold from D3) in this game, like in D2, so even if bots generate tones of items, the diversity is so big that it just dont affect the economy or does a bit but get regulated from the fact that player's farmed item ( which bot dont pickup) will worth a bit more and majorly looked for items will be more present so cheaper unlike D3 where you need tones and tones of gold to buy endgame gear ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it

" A PoE bot would mainly be designed to collect rares and match them for recipes with other bots. It wouldn't take long to completely destroy the economy for alchs, regals and chaos. They are a fundamental part of the game and its economy. |

" I get these issues and thats why id prefer that they input a non-farmable currency to their new trading plans a little bit like my second idea in that thread http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/56191 sure it dont stop bots but it would prevent a main currency hyper-inflation ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it

I dont know why ppl care about having multiple accounts. There are several online games that you are able to do it and yet most ppl dont do and that doesnt affect very much the playing experience; also, an software preventing multiple windows running the game can be added and if one hacks/cracks it, just punish him.

No matter how human you program a bot to be, it will always be the most profitable, always gaining the most and selling the lowest at the market, so all GGG has to do, is to pop in and say "Congratulations! You are the best/cheapest Path of Exile player! How are you? What do you think about baseball?" and if the player replies "Does not compute!" then they take it offline.
Problem solved. |

" And GGG have got a massive staff base that can afford to be online 24 hours a day to stop this. It also requires people to actually report suspects of botting which again takes time to investigate. There is no hard fast or easy way to stop botting. And to the post before GGG already has software running to prevent you opening more than 1 instance of the game in any 1 operating system. This becomes invalid when people are running virtual machines and can run as many as there system is capable off. The reason people care about multiple accounts is that they can be used to advantage and if you cant see this then i guess you must be blind. Its only money. May as well spend it here. Buy beta. " You can easily program a bot to reply to a question, of course the bot needs to have the question so it knows what to return but you can always make a default return to send some random message or something that could answer a wide variety of questions. |

" I didn't think about the overwhelming number of bots, which could very well each be making mediocre profits. Sorry. |

" It's not that easy to program a bot to respond to things like "Tell me what you think about the US election.", "Tell me how you got your drivers licence." or "How do you open a pickle jar?". Even the more advanced AIs fail at describing things in a topic. They often try to weasel their way out of it, by doing general responses that looks really contrived. |

Botters will be easy enough to circumvent.
Currency farmers on the other hand... They are real people, just getting the currency for a company that will sell it for real life money. And there WILL people doing real life trading. "Minions of your minions are your minion's minions, not your minions." - Mark
