How can you not gain real money from POE. If there is a market to sell things for cash then im sure people will go down that avenue.

Lets face it if people are going to pay GGG for cosmetic items that wont help them get any further in the game then i would be willing to bet that they will buy items or currency for real cash if readily available and more so items due to the amount of currency needed to craft items it will be easier just to buy them.

But to say here you can gain no money is absurd.

If someone vaguely thinks they can make money from bots on a free to play game then i would think they will try.

I am sure there has already been 1 instance of this that was used to proove a point.

Surely there is way to detect advertisers in chat logs? Perhaps script a search function to search for certain keywords. Just instant bann whomever uses that account, Dont ban ip just let them buy a new acc so that poe at least gains some profit from the efforts invested in looking through logs.

banning someone who advertises would cause hundres if not thousands of legitimate players to suffer an unnecessary ban

Free game = no buying an account. Or am i missing something here?

I wonder if this game has any anti botting protection at all...

Bots play the game better than humans except at rare situations because of the random factors of these games.

GGG needs to make a deal with a 3rd party anti-cheat company if they really want to limit bots. Client will require the AC software to run then.

Bot in just about any free MMO is unavoidable. Even if there is no real currency in this game it doesn't mean botting would be useless. You still can gather material to make items and having more bots means you'll gather the necessities faster then a normal legit would. There is always a way to make use of bots one way or another. It will just come down to the regulations of how to deal with botting and what can be done to punish/prevent it.

Just pretend bots don't exist and enjoy the game.
