Indeed, if it happens to anyone that is known in the "scene", yea we get an overnight extreme important patch, just like when Krip died in a League due to a bug. Now if you are a small Joe, yea GGG does not care bout you.

I'm sorry XXXXXX, but as far as we can see, there is nothing wrong with your account. Nor any of the others who have posted in the forum thread you've provided (I checked their accounts as well). It's very likely it's just a bad string of luck. I can understand your frustration XXXXXX, but unfortunately as far as I, or anyone else on the Dev team can see, there really shouldn't be anything that could cause this.

Really thinking bout asking for a refund. I have spent 150€+ in this game and is this how they treat us?

i got the same problem mailed them and still nothing has changed i spent 100+ euro on this game and this makes the game unplayable for me.

Fix This GGG this is making me quiting the game.

Did the realm restart work for anyone? Not me.

They aren't, loot drops are all handled by the server otherwise there would be a crap ton of blatantly obvious cheaters already...

Heya , today upon entering ac2 on cruel i experience the same thing . While i was farming ledge stuff was alright , now i m at crossroads and i get virtually 0 currency drops , i still get items but thats it . Its rather interesting , i tried to go back to ledge but now its the same story :(

So far neither of the answers players have received from Mike make any sense.

Drops are not handled client side so "[...]may have been caused by a corrupted patch update, as sometimes data packets provided by an ISP can become corrupted and unfinished/corrupted code is used" doesn't make sense. Furthermore, the issue applies across my account, even when I play on my housemate's computer (who does not have this drop issue on his account), which implies that the issue is linked to the account and not the machine.

Which is utter BS. 5 portal scrolls total over 46 character levels (and similarly borked Wisdom scroll drops, and nothing higher) is a consistent issue. It seems to target select players, and utterly screws over their progression, providing a huge barrier from participating in the PoE economy (and making it difficult to trade for level-appropriate gear).

Chris's "added information" (link) in this conversation (I imply that the drop issue might be a false-positive flagging in an automated anti-cheating method), and Chris specifies that he can't talk about anti-botting stuff) suggests what might be the issue. It'd certainly explain (but not excuse) the utter lack of transparency and terrible customer support surrounding this entire issue.

Needless to say, I'm frustrated and disappointed by GGG's refusal to give players impacted by this any information (or even admit that there's a problem!) on the matter. For now, I can't recommend this game to people in good faith.
