" With AoF, Chernobog's Pillar and Hrimsorrow, you will have all your physical damage converted (75% directly to fire and 25% to cold). With a cold to fire gem of level 6 (50%) or higher you should be able to convert all physical and cold to fire damage. Crit happens.

Question: so if I get "increased elemental damage" passive i will get 2 times it worth right
|

" No. Something like "+10% Elemental Damage" will only be applied once even if you convert from one element to another. However, if you have individual element bonuses like "+6% Fire Damage" and "+6% Ice Damage" and you convert Ice to Fire, the converted damage will get both bonuses for a total of +12%. Converting damage allows you to take advantage of more bonus types, but it doesn't allow you to double the bonus from a single general type. Last edited by werezompire#4977 on Nov 4, 2013, 2:11:09 PM

I'd like to add my voice to this and say that I would be extremely grateful to get the Physical damage *sound effect* back; my weapons feel horrible without it.
Please give us the crunch back! Stay out of the shadows ... They bite

Someone help me out here with AoF, Blackgleam (say perfect 50%), and Burning Arrow.
BA states that it adds 30% of physical damage as fire damage. So what happens first in calculating DPS? I assume the skill takes priority first, so something like this: > 100% physical damage + 30% fire damage > With AoF, that now becomes 50% physical, 50% fire damage + 30% fire damage > With Blackgleam, that now becomes a total of 130% fire damage. Is that correct? For Ranger build tips, tactics, and critiques, visit this thread:

Whether from Skills or not, rule of thumb:
Damage Based On -> Conversion -> multipliers Burning Arrow will add 30% of your base Physical Damage as Fire, even if you Convert 100% away. AoF + 50% Blackgleam will Convert 100% Phys to Fire, yes. (for completeness' sake) |

" Thanks for the quick response. So going by the above rule, using Added Fire Damage will add even more fire damage since it's based on my physical damage. For Ranger build tips, tactics, and critiques, visit this thread:

It will indeed. Should be pretty fun for an Ignite. :P

I was thinking all out fire damage.
In the words of Mark_GGG, ALL FIRE, ALL THE TIME. Now I gotta get to some more theorycrafting. For Ranger build tips, tactics, and critiques, visit this thread:
