OP Legacy Uniques are the worst decision i've seen from the devs thus far

absolutely agree with OP...

no need to comment it any more

EDIT: someone here posted a compromise and I think that it wasnt bad. Simply legacy items can still drop in standard league or as someone said ... just remove them from PvP ... like poster bellow wrote to make them account bound its also not bad idea

What if legacy items become account bound? I know this might be a horrible word for some people, but it would be a compromise.

The point is, that legacy items should not affect trade and there should be no link between accounts.

For me the situation works like this:
Legacy items suck, because it bypasses the "loot progress feeling". When you farm items, you know you can never find items already exist and are tradeable. If you plan a special build which requires a legacy item, then this build is not bound to hope(itemdrop), but to a price(like 200 exalteds which is ridiculous)

It is not about possessing or not possessing certain items, its about the POSSIBILITY to get them.

And if other people can take advantage of them it would be fine for me. But I do not want to have my game influenced by them, so if those items would not be transferable the link between my account and unaccessible items would break.

account bound?

No matter what happens, I do not think the devs will ever go there.

They seem to think its evil(they are insane for it, but they do seem to think its evil)

overall, playing this game don't seem to feel rewarding at all.

As far as I'm concerned it doesn't even have to be. Ok, economy, balance and PvP issues aside it's still the question of integrity. You made a mistake and you had the chance to fix it, but you didn't because you were afraid someone who enjoyed certain benefits from it would get mad. It's just like delivering someone an extra television set by mistake and deciding not to go back for it in order not to burst his bubble :)

Well, the chance for that kind of firm stance was probably lost with Sliverbranch rebalance, if that one was globally rerolled players would just accept it as a company stance on legacy. And, as I remember we raised a fair amount stink back then too, but it was rebutted with 'who cares about crappy Silverbranch', well, that kinda escalated, eh?
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

yea, ggg must have been high or something when they said:
"Lets balance the unbalances by keeping the unbalances in the game"
amateurish at best

I OWN legacy uniques and i still think it would be best if all of them were nerfed.

Deal with it. Its not game breaking because no legacy items in the new leagues.

People always make fun of standard and now its so important that legacy items gotta go?

some people don't play in new leagues and never will. so standard is where they will spend all their time.
