OP Legacy Uniques are the worst decision i've seen from the devs thus far

Can someone please explain to me how any of these items completely break the game's balance. It's not like they're the only viable items for a well balanced character that can overcome every obstacle in the game, that's what balance is about.

So what if someone else has those items and it makes the game a bit more trivial, it's still a fact that people have died with these items, not just in hardcore, which means that either the people who have those items suck at the game, or they just aren't as imbalanced as most people in this thread are making them out to be.

I still urge you all to chill and just wait a bit. There's still time to 'fix' these items if it ends up being required for these balance issues that I don't think exist.

It doesn't matter if you're not convinced that they're OP or not.. the devs have already decided that they are and have rebalanced them for that reason.

Quoting myself from another topic

"If an item is nerfed for balance reasons why should anyone still have the unbalanced item? When passives are changed, people have to redo their build, when an aura is nerfed it affects all auras, when a skill is changed it affects all skills. Having legacy items is not consistent with every other balance change.

Just state it is as it is. GGG is unwilling to change all current uniques due to technical reasons. Don't pretend it's a good move. "

Because the items weren't game breaking in the first place.

Rainbowstrides are so good that three of my builds are using them. Thats an obvious effect on my gameplay. GGG saw this and decided to nerf rainbowstrides BUT leave the legacy version in the game. So now in standard the nerf means nothing at all, legacy rainbowstrides are still everywhere and now they don't drop anymore. Somehow your arguing that this doesnt effect everyones gameplay?

I use them in every melee char too good
You know it takes to farm? It takes BRASS BALLS to farm items and currency. Go and do likewise gents. Currency is out there. You pick it up, it's yours. You don't, I got no sympathy for you.

You do because you have them, if you didn't have them you'd use something else and you'd be fine.

In all seriousness, if legacy uniques are the worst decision you think they have made, you are both crazy and seriously insane for QQing at all, since its not that bad a decision.

The point is that the fix did nothing at all. There's still thousands and thousands of rainbowstrides in the game to buy. The same problem exists and effects the entire game. They are still better than the vast majority of rare boots in the game and also Best in Slot for a ton of builds.

How people don't see how this impacts the game is beyond me.

Its my opinion. I have been fine with every decision that they have made up to this point.

BTW as you can see I am a closed beta supporter and I love to compliment and support the game. I still love the game. I find your accusation that I enjoy complaining about it very insulting.

I don't even mind the aura changes.

It wont matter, it only impacts scrubcore and hardcore which will mean as much as scrubcore, lets call it scrubcore 2.0 with op uniques.
