General Discussion - OP Legacy Uniques are the worst decision i've seen from the devs thus far - Forum

I have 23 Legacy items now. I've liquidated pretty much everything else to acquire some of them. I still think it is ludicrous to have two versions. Simply not nerfing them is better. Alternatively, stop giving a fuck about this shit - legacy items have existed since the game went into testing - and get back to playing the game. Unless, of course, some random dude having an OP item makes you curl up into the fetal position and cry. If that's the case, I suppose complaining about it eases the burn. If the endgame will be balanced around the nerfed gear and builds, the HC characters with legacy items will actually be less likely to die than before. If you look at how most of the high-level players die, most of the time it happens pretty much entirely due to their momentary lack of attention and/or desync. Standard or not, I play standard exclusively. Only intend to make trash magic finders on the new leagues. Reality is legacy items have absofuckinglutely 0 impact on yours or anyone elses gameplay. Especially in this game where gear isn't the end all be all factor pvming or pvping. Did people curl up in the fetal position and bitch about Soul Scratch, Viper Tramples,Corruption grips..just to name a few on Diablo2 when .8 rolled into .9? Legacy items have the same impact on you tomorrow as they do right now. With the obvious exception of it you don't currently own one it'll cost alot more to get. But hey alot of us took that gamble. Some traded their stuff off thinking they'd get hosed. Some had these uniques for ages and decided to take a chance. I know for a few years now its become a trend to feel obligated to bitch moan and think you deserve whatever you want/need. This is no different. We all started this game with a trash weapon and 1 skill gem, some made it work...some spent their time bitching about everything.
