Is it really that bad to cancel a trade and accept a higher offer?
Thoughts on it?
I just got some butt-hurt replies after I accepted a trade and cancelled on them because I got a better offer (unexpectedly). Am I supposed to be having a guilt trip because of this? Lol. Just curious about what others have experienced and how they feel about it. It is really bad to make a thread about it which makes you look like you worry too much about it.

Haha, I don't really care, I don't know why you think I do. I'm wondering about in-game etiquette. I think this is a legitimate question. but the fact that I've been told that someone put me on their ignore list to block me from ever trading with them again makes me curious about just how important it is to not cancel trades with people? Maybe I'm wrong? O_o?

Because I've gotten responses such as: I don't want to talk to you ever again, I offered, and you agreed, and now you've backed out, bla bla bla bla.
This is a psychological thing with humans--when you start something, you want to follow through with it, but if you were to back out, it is seen as shameful. For me, as I've said, I don't really care, but what makes me wonder is if everyone behaves like this or just this one guy. If you had a trade cancelled on a shav's or soultaker when the seller agreed to your offer, how would you see it as? Burn the guy to the ground, or ignore it and move on? You just blue balled them. Of course they're pissed. Come on dude, less autism and more basic empathy. You can do what you want, but to wonder why someone is pissed about it is pretty funny.

I suppose you gave the other guy a chance to increase his offer before trading? That's what matters here, imo. Of course you don't have to make an unfavorable trade but since you have already agreed to do the trade with someone else that person should have a chance to adjust their offer.

Before the trade is final you can back out. Anyone who gets upset about is just looking for something to complain about.
If someone gives you a better offer before the trade goes through, then by all means, accept the better trade. Just don't ever demand your items back because you want to trade with someone else. Bullshit, you get the game for free.
