It doesn't matter how many user Xfire has. We are discussing the decline of the PoE player base. So the question is how much of PoE playerbase uses xfire. If only 2% of the Playerbase uses Xfire and we have a 50% drop on the xfire statistics then that is still only a drop of 1% on the whole playerbase.

50%? POE was ranked in top 10, when open beta started. This was even mentioned by the Devs. Now, it's on the 250th spot.

Then let's say 100%, that would still only be 2% of the playerbase in my example.

The point stands. I doesn't matter how many people use xFire. What matters to determine the accuracy is how much of the PoE playerbase use it.

I’ll give you a hint then. Your “example” (term used loosely) would lead us to believe that no one quit PoE unless they were using XFire.

I see a 350 hour per week drop overnight on Sept 23 (90% or so drop in playing time). Take a wild guess why this was (hint: a certain news post was published that day).

By the way, the ~800 hrs that the game recorded as recently as Sept 2 would have put it well into the Top 40 as it stands right now.

Based on how volatile the statistic is, I'd be hard-pressed to put a lot of stock in it (note that wile we're talking about it, PoE rose from 250th to 108th in the rankings).

So there's 250,000 people who don't know how to stop xfire from automatically starting with windows?

Logged in doesn't mean playing a game.

AKA theres more bots running in D2 now rather than people playing Poe ? :D

theres nothing to really do, maps and farm pitey ;/pvp is just dead, and maps get boring,
we need more endgame options imo

There is probably more bots running in POE than actual players. Just like D2.
