" You mean like 99% of the posters here? True. Remember when I won a screenshot contest and made everyone butt-hurt? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

" I read this entire thread, your reply made me laugh the best. +1 to you. But honestly; Games come and go, it's how it works. Remember the big thing in the game magazines a while back with the last surviving member of that final fantasy game? He'd be a paying subscriber since day one and was literally the last account on the game. Not sure whatever happened after that, but with a massive playerbase of 1, I'm pretty sure it didn't make it much longer. But yeah; I have noticed a decline in people on Path of Exile. But that's how things go in the gaming world. Just wait until Battlefield 4 releases, I'm sure there will be another decline. Most gamers don't sit on one game forever like that kid did in final fantasy lol. Users will move on and if GGG wants to stay in the game they'll have to keep pushing the content and making things more exciting for the players. If they don't, it will eventually die out just like other games. Diablo 2 was a game that built the genre if you ask me. Sure there's plenty of people still playing it; but there's more bots on that game than there is on Diablo 3... maybe... Been a while since I actually had either game installed. But depending on third party sources like this "xfire", never reliable. The only true way to see how many people are still playing is having access to the numbers on GGG's servers. But I doubt many of us will see that any time before the release of the game. |

There's a much more obvious explanation for this.
If you look at xfire's activity graph, you'll see a huge and sudden drop off between Sept 22 and Sept 23. It just so happens that a patch was released at this time that renamed the client from Client.exe to PathOfExile.exe. My guess is that xfire is failing to detect that people are playing PoE because the name of the process has changed. |

" No... Really only a couple people do and that's why it means nothing. OP most people that not only use a instant messenger but also feel the need to link that IM system inside of their video game are the same kind of people that are making pointless threads about it. Most gamers should know how to use a phone or email. |

" You never used Meebo, Pidgin or Trillian? |

Looks like GGG missed his chance for an official lunch :(
