Theres less people playing POE than Diablo TWO now on Xfire
" Since you don't know, I will enlighten you. Because you don't install PoE into Windows like other games you have to manually add it to xFire. If the name of the .exe File is changed Xfire won't find the client.exe you previously added anymore under the chosen directory. So if you didn't add it manually again after the Patch that changed the name of client.exe, Xfire won't register if you play Path of Exile. “Demons run when a good man goes to war"

Okay.
Remember when I won a screenshot contest and made everyone butt-hurt? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

lol @ people who don't understand statistics and population samples. No one cares if you don't use Xfire. The point is that enough people use for it to provide a valid sample from which you can judge how interest in various games is keeping up (or not).
Of course it doesn't mean that PoE is dead. The stats themselves show that. Why must people be so stupid? All the stats indicate, and it's completely true, is that a lot of people have lost interest in the game over time. That doesn't mean dead, just less popular. Hence the importance of this pending release. I think this is all due to too much catering to the 'no lifers' and by continuing to passively punish people who play solo (especially with the recent aura changes making group play even more important). But hey, GGG are making the game that THEY want to make... it's all in their 'vision'. They just have to live with the consequences of some of those things, such as most players (who are probably situated somewhere between casual and hardcore gamers) losing interest over time, as they realise that there's not enough reward unless you have time to play (on average) multiple hours every day (and ideally in a group). " Yeah, a release information actually got me super excited again for PoE and re-ignited my interest in the game =) 23th can't come soon enough! IGN: Iworkeout

GGG could always join the steam community that should double there player base instantly.

Well, I'm glad you're excited about PoE, again, and there's still Blizzcon later on, too. Enjoy! =^[.]^=

As someone mentioned before xfire was a d2 era thing, most people don't use it. I dont know if one person in my life who actually uses it.
You know it takes to farm? It takes BRASS BALLS to farm items and currency. Go and do likewise gents. Currency is out there. You pick it up, it's yours. You don't, I got no sympathy for you.
