Theres less people playing POE than Diablo TWO now on Xfire

8/10 on the troll.

I've talked to the devs a fair bit, and I still had to look up 'xfire' when I saw this thread. I had a vague memory of it being some sort of game-orientated MSN or ICQ or some shit.

So no, I don't think they do, at least not to a degree where any findings regarding PoE's interaction with it affects their judgments.

Not when they can see what we cannot -- precisely how many people log in a day, how many of them have supported financially, etc.

Compared to the accuracy and usefulness of those numbers, xfire is pissing into a dark room hoping to hit a unicorn.

" The rest of the news is extremely positive and we're very proud of that! Path of Exile completely exceeded our expectations in terms of popularity and community reception. Even despite the peak-time server stability issues we're seeing amazing player concurrency, retention and engagement. We've have a daily active player count of around 287k players and a concurrent user record of 70k players online. The website currently receives about 650k views per day. Various metrics like Xfire list the game as one of the most popular online PC games being played at the moment. I just can't express with words how proud these results make us feel. Thank you so much. "

Still ..because the game was doing well right on the beginning of the open beta ..they mentioned XFIRE stats as a proof. Now PoE is doing really bad ...and XFIRE somehow is "pissing into a dark room hoping to hit a unicorn" right ? Convenient ...

If XFIRE was good enough for the DEVS to mention PoE current popularity .. then XFIRE is also good enough to mention PoE current lack of popularity.

You cant have it both ways Ruler of Wraeclast

ItsthePolice (and others) are absolutely right: PoE is dying. There's nothing more to see here. Everyone who isn't pathetically clinging to this horrible failure of a game should just move along, put it behind them, and find somewhere else to spend their time. Certainly, there are far better games out there, right? Go along and play, now.

I hear Diablo 3 is very nice. =^[.]^=

Oh, standard procedure, you run the elections.

1. You make an official announcement stating you intend to run for the office.

2. Issue you campaign schedule and state your goals as a ruler (solemnly swear to improve drops and general quality of life, ban hand bras, import young women, chickens and goats)

3. Meet the most prominent of local hard-working bandits, kiss baby rhoas, stuff like that.

4. Attend talk shows and debates, and watch out for Piety, she's a smooth talker and has a cleavage to boot.

5. Issue the final statement repeating all your previous offers, and then doubling them.

6. Appear on one of the voting locations and graciously place a vote yourself for one of your opponents. I recommend Dread Thicket, it's kind of in backwater but locals are cheerful and friendly.

7. Celebrate your success with booze and prostitutes.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Don't forget the 12.500$ campaign funds.

Edit: Btw. I checked some of the other metric site like Xfire and there are some that 60.000+ player with Path of Exile and there are some that have 3000+ players with Path of Exile. These sites tell us nothing on their own. Because 1 site alone doesn't cover all gamers.

The amount of sarcasm in this thread is overwhelming.
I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. I see it in the eyes of men and beasts that i troll. It will take me to play the actual game when i am ready and i am not ready.
