" Also proves your title stinks. Maybe try " I watch HC stream and play standard BUT i can tell a top player what hes doing wrong" What was your point of making this thread besides starting yet another useless post starting shit between leagues. " this and the onme above and one inside! all so true... maybe that's why I keep playing titles form 90's... true rpg like fallout 1 and 2 where you actually had to listen to everything nps said to figure out your way around the game... these days its same old easy linear bs... even in this game they highlight everything for you and tell you where to go,... wtf |

Hardcore in a nutshell:
(0) Choose a fast computer. You have no room for machine-generated error. (1) Choose a starting class. (2) Choose a ranged build. (3) Path of life nodes. (4) Avoid anything remotely risky and panic at the slightest danger. The more you can convince yourself to overreact to any situation, the more adrenaline you will have pumping. Live for the adrenaline. (5) Anyone who doesn't play hardcore is a n00b. Mock scrubcore. Live for the superiority complex. Softcore in a nutshell: (1) Choose a starting class. (2) Choose any build you please. Feel free to experiment; Regrets are just a few Chaos away. (3) If you die too much, pick more life. If you kill too slowly, swap life for damage. If you need more of both, either your gear or build is the problem. Experiment with something else. (4) Tone down your danger alarms and feel free to take risks every once in a while. Losing a few hours worth of experience sucks, and you'll probably still curse and swear when it happens. But it's not so terrible that you must avoid even a slim chance of death in a barely-challenging situation. Live on the margin with no regrets. (5) Path of life nodes players are paranoid and lack build diversity. They bind logout to F8 and don't play the most meaningful parts of the game. Live for the superiority complex. There, have I insulted everyone enough? |

" the difference is that when you alt f4/die in SC you pulse is 70... when you alt f4 in HC its 140 |

I play Softcore, but I play it like its Hardcore (I was on HC, then I died, and I'm super lazy, so yeah...)
That way I keep all my gear/money in one place, and don't have to worry too much about dying/rerolling. And it also allows me to try out fun, gimmicky, "glass-cannon" type builds for alts just to mess around with. Which is the most fun in PoE imo. I love coming up with wacky build idea and getting them to work viably. Like a Dual Warp Totem Templar I had made, it's unique, and works almost as good as Spork. :P Most of my Softcore chars have 0-2 deaths, so it's not much different. They are mostly desync related deaths too, which is another reason why Hardcore is less preferable..
