Its entirely relevant when HC players are blaming my playstyle for dying while soloing in SC.

I want to know how many HC have successfully pulled off a fully solo level 1-70 grind in HC to be going around blaming people for dying when soloing.

You also know you've lost the argument already when you resort to calling someone a troll for having a different opinion to you, and attempting to ignorantly dismiss their points because you know you cant counter them.

It's completely irrelevant, because PoE is a multi-player co-op game. It is fully intended that you group with other people. However, if you choose not to do so, then that's fine too.

Being able to reach level 70 in hardcore without grouping has nothing whatsoever to do with your repeated claims that we all use alt-f4.

Furthermore, the game is designed to allow players to "farm" particular areas. The mechanic for resetting instances is built into the game and is a fully documented feature. It's not like Diablo2, where you had to jump through hoops to reset an instance.

Playing in groups or resetting/farming instances are not "exploits" in the same way that alt-f4 could be considered an exploit. Although, an argument could be made that people who use alt-f4 are simply making use of all available strategies and tools to facilitate their survival.

But even that argument is irrelevant, when you have decided that we all do it, contrary to what we may say on the matter.

That video was taken long before all the melee buffs and AI nerfs. For a level 55 character at the time it was sufficient and got up to level 73 before needing respeccing.

However I didn't die in that video due to my HP, I lasted over 15 mins, and that same build at that level was facetanking Kole and Brutus effortlessly. The only issue was the whirling blades induced desync which still happens today, and that would get you killed in most instances if it happens to you.

Its pretty pathetic really that you blame an obvious dwsync on character build when I was playing it absolutely fine.

btw that was one bad character a melee who has to kite elites is bad character design

PoE has been full of lag and desyncs since the beta started. More often than not the game will just freeze and shut itself down with an message for me.

I've read plenty of cases on this forum and on youtube streams where loads of people lose all progress on their HC characters from a desync, lag or client crash. If you think that such things don't happen in an online game you have to be completely delusional.

If the game was single player and didn't require an internet connection Id gladly play it on hardcore all the time.

I remembered I also recorded a video of death by desync and have it on youtube. I appeared to be completely safe and had ran away from some mobs, but then I rubber banded back into them and got instant killed when the desync / lag caught back up.

Happens. All. The. Fucking. Time. In. This. Game. And. In. No. Other. MMO.

he did not get stunned once in that video, do you even know what a stun looks like?

he was simply kiting and happened to desync and then resync back to where he was initially standing, and died.

Alright, this comment just hits me as ignorant as it gets. Not only are you upset that someone is grouping (as if people don't group in all leagues) but you think that they should never farm an easy area? How about you get a retarded softcore char to endgame with the same restrictions, and allow yourself 2 deaths. Then we can all laugh, repeatedly. If you are going to run solo, you are going to farm an area over and over. Why would you farm a hard area?

No, I haven't hit 70 yet in hardcore, mostly because I play solo, mostly self found, and I like to play risky builds. My last one bit the dust due to desynch. I ran away from a group of mobs, dropped a totem, and thought I was fine. Suddenly I rubberbanded back into the mobs and it asked me if I would like to resurrect. It really sucked. Whatever, I reroll, have more fun, and try again. Unlike Graveyard league, hardcore is about the journey. I don't care about hitting maps in a day or two, I don't care about getting a group to rush me. I am about to the point that I can rush my chars to act 3 in a day, not impressive to high end racers, but it is a step up for me. I farm a bit here and there in act 3, never more than 4-5 hours, kill piety, move on to cruel.

The difference? I probably have more fun, more adreneline pumping moments, and more oh SH@#$ moments then you do. The game is just as fun in normal, as cruel, as end game maps. Remember fun? It is why I play hardcore. Not to mention my items don't cost an arm and a leg, and I can actually sell things I pick up.
