I have a challenge for you...
Have a look through Slayer's post history. The challenge is to find a post that is longer than 3 lines long. I will give you extra bonus points if you can find one of his posts that is actually feedback & not just a 1 line dismissal of what someone said, I will give you even more bonus points if you can find a single post of his that actually talks about a problem & how to go about fixing it.
Good luck, it doesn't exist.
He can come off as being "elitist" but there's a damn good reason as to why he's on alpha. Many of us have our own ways of giving feedback to the developers that don't involve this forum, especially for inane things that don't warrant posts.
Oh and it helps a bunch that our feedback looks like "Hey Carl, I think.." rather than "OMG GGG FIX YOU SUCK, GAME WILL FAIL". And we don't message them about stupid shit like RNG or desync either.

Most definitely. He didn't get into alpha for '1-3 line' responses. I keep forgetting that SL4Y3R is Slurms, whose name of course did resound through the Closed Beta Merciless crowd for one reason or another.
And you're right about the feedback thing -- for all the posts we see here, you can expect quite a few that go straight to the GGG inboxes, precisely because some people don't want their feedback to be publicly scrutinised........and who can blame them?
Mouze is the best example I can think of. That dude made me feel foolish sometimes with my suggestions. He had a deep understand of the game and was always giving incredible feedback. I doubt that guy ever posted to feedback forum once. Trust me guys, he didn't get alpha from being a top racer in CB, the dude was PMing awesome feedback. Shame he's moved on to other games.
So true! I miss Mouze, he used to put me in my place (nicely) when it came to PoE back in CB. I miss that... Gorlak too (in his own way) but he's usually busy in alpha or crafting away, don't see him as much anymore. And Slurms was a "household" name as they say in CB, earned a lot of respect from most of us. Glad to see he got his alpha tag and has been keeping GGG busy :)

I miss Inva myself, that dude was amazing with his in depth knowledge and his pure helpfulness. Mouze was similar in game, an amazing racer but also very much willing to just help someone who had queries about something (not simple ones but the more indepth ideas).
So many of those CB titans are missing these days, and tbh I feel disappointed in the OB titans, with some exceptions, as they just don't seem to as amazing people as those like Mouze, Gorlak, Slurms, Inva, petrov, etc

Gorlak is the only person I can firmly say is my enemy. We NEVER got along, even though I think we had many friends in common.
Mouze stops in time to time to plan for his unique. With any luck he'll be back when it's being released. It was a psychotic idea when he was playing specifically for his build, it might get even more insane now that he hasn't played. Should be interesting to see how people react. His goal has always been to make it too fun to resist but something everyone will die with.
Finished 17th in Rampage - Peaked at 11th
Finished 18th in Torment/Bloodline 1mo Race - peaked at 9th

Gorlak, KoTao, and Xapti are just about the last people left that I remember from when I started playing. The 2011ers are extremely few and far apart now.
There's too many of you 2012ers to remember.
Invasifer? Mouzaste? Something like that. :P

Not to jump into this trip down memory lane, but I don't really think desync is stupid shit. Any game reviewer/tester worth a damn is going to kill GGG on this if they are launching in its current state, and rightfully so. I personally think this and item balance are the biggest issues in the game.

I think 'absolutely free to play' and 'zero pay to win' are going to, in purely review terms, offset the majority of the technical difficulties and issues. I am not saying I agree with that, but I am saying that I can see reviewers placing the two facts next to each other and then weighing them up as pros and cons.
The result then will PROBABLY be an average of around 65-70%.
That's just my prediction. Grain of salt and all that.
Charan has already written 100 reviews and emailed them to the various review companies under different names and email addresses to help pad the results
