Why isn't this insolent troll on probation already? Does anyone need a more blatant example of why the "Quality of Threads is Decreasing?"

Lets be honest guys. The average forumer has anywhere between three to five degrees including but not limited to corporate law, netsec, game design, marketing, business administration and psychology.

So, unless we get a some sort of FAQ addressing these frequently discussed issues, they'll keep coming up... It's been like this since the beginning of open beta. Therefore, how the hell is the thread quality decreasing? As a matter of fact, it has remained fairly consistent because players tend to run into similar problems.

theres some truth in this. Maps is an example, long ago we had the devs say we agree maps re: xp is an issue and we are looking at ways to sort it. Thats good, we got some feedback, but it was soooo long ago and very few people have seen it. So when you now post a thread giving suggestions on different ways it could be sorted, rather than the merits of that idea being debated what you quickly get is an argument about if you should be able to get xp at all over lvl80, if maps are working as intended or not, people insisting maps are temporary and we have to wait for act3x and act4 before the content will scale high enough....

it just descends into a ton of quarrelling on the topic of if the issue you have posted a suggestion on is actually an issue at all. Proper discussion of the suggestion is impossible, you cant even get to a point where everyone agrees theres a problem to base a suggested fix on in the first place. More people believe 'maps are temporary and you have to wait for act4' (despite nothing of the sort being said by the devs) than have actually seen the comment from Chris acknowledging theres an issue here and waiting over a year for act4 is not the answer.




Ultimately I think a lot of it stems from the fact we are on this forum wayyyy too much. for me, I have a ton of characters essentially stuck waiting for this map fix that has been promised. I turned to levelling new characters while I wait, but sadly they hit the mapping wall within 3 days the cost of rolling a new 5 link chest every time I level yet another character completely destroys my currency even more than mapping. So Im locked out of the game, only thing I can do is grind lunaris for virtually zero xp and drops or mf in docks over and over, everything I get from these runs is then used to try and link upgrade armours or new character pieces and fails. It just leaves me amazingly frustrated and with nothing left to do but come here to the forum when I should be playing the game, and whats on my mind? The fact I cant play the game and Ive been relegated to the forums by bad game mechanics, so no surprise me and the ton of other people still hanging on and refusing to quit such a potentially amazing game end up discussion why we cant go in and play right now, QQ.


Imo they should never have released the game without a way to get proper xp at later levels, a temp fix should have been put in ages ago, the lack of one has caused the majority of dedicated players to hit a wall that should not exist in an ARPG and end up on here spouting mass QQ on every issue that halts attempts to play the game on a daily basis when they should be grinding xp on their chars.

I don't really play released games. I spend a good amount of time watching Korean Starcraft (1 and 2), a lot of Hearthstone beta on Twitch recently, and I sign up for betas when I feel intrigued (I was a Diablo 3 beta tester, so you can blame me in part for that debacle — good learning experience though).

Last released game I played with any enthusiasm was Diablo 3, and that didn't last nearly as long as I'd hoped. I enjoyed the beta far more, even with its severe limitations. Before that I was big into both forum and chat-based Mafia, and before that a fairly competent SC1 Zerg (I played that game for years).

casval776, you are my hero. Thank you for putting these neckbearded fanboys in their place. The truth is, the sane ones like us have given this game a chance and finally gave up. Soon the player base will only consist of fanboys, then the game will die happily ever after.
