Diablo 3 is happy to admit it has problems and copy POE & other ARPGs to improve.

D3 is headed in a good direction.

Poe is headed in the same direction it has for a long time which is a decent one but could be better...

Well, I just took delivery of a new machine.



50 mins from it arriving and I am logged into PoE, nice 38 meg constant upload, GGG.

Playing this game, finally, on high video settings, with decent audio, GFX card and SSD. All I can say is WOW. What a difference.
Owls, frogs, water? The ambience is outstanding.

This will make the wait for Act3X much more appealing -_-

My last one, an Alien, bought pre Dell, which ran for 12-16 hours every single day for over 5 years, in a smoke filled room without so much as me touching the side grills; finally gave up when I moved it. I think it is likely repairable, but it looks like it has been sprayed with concrete inside.

Imagine if Blizzard had put in-game advertisement inside Diablo 3.

The outcry would have been monumental.

In fact, it would have been so overly negative that GGG never would have done it.

All those same people here who think it's "fine" in PoE would have lambasted Blizzard for it endlessly.

Actually I don't think it would have surprised anyone, and it's not as if the game is "fine" without it.

In short, it really wouldn't have swayed anyone to switch camps.

There was a petition with like 349732947239 signatures just because the art wasn't dark enough.

I can guarantee you that in-game advertising in Diablo 3 would have enraged the community.

Negative feelings are associated with people quitting. People don't quit games for singular reasons generally - even if they say they do.

It's a culmination of things. Straws, backs of camels, etc.

Yeah, like that whole part about killing monsters, collecting loot, and leveling up.

I showed both of these games to my niece, and she could not tell the difference between them besides the artistic aspects.

Unless you get deep into mechanics and shit, these games are remarkably similar at their core.

They are in the same genre for crying out loud. They have more things in common than things that separate them.

Oh and also, PoE already borrows things from Diablo 3.

Check out the sound/graphics when a monster drops a unique item in Path of Exile....

Too bad they can't borrow the netcode...............................
