Diablo 3 is happy to admit it has problems and copy POE & other ARPGs to improve.

Pretty much.

You want to thrash out the ways GGG could have made this game less of an RMT magnet?
Here, ITT?
Casually casual.

No one has played loot 2.0 yet and can say if they got the balance right or not, but according to some people it's a rose scented pile of gold and rubys.

Blizzard lost something that GGG earned. My trust. And I won't give blizzard the benefit of the doubt that the pile of gold won't turn into shit and that the smell won't be that pleasing.

Exactly this 100%

How can anyone be so stupid as to forget what blizzard did with diablo 3.

They completely ignored the community's feedback.

They denied dupes/glitches ever existed when in fact they did.

They refused to fix game breaking bugs that affected the enjoyment of the game for massive amounts of people. (Many of which today are still not fixed)

These points listed are about the developers and community managers only (ie blizzard) , im not even going to bother listing the problems with the actual game of diablo 3 because there are far too many.

Only a complete fool will buy the expansion pack after being raped in the arse by blizzard, thinking its not going to happen again.

I have yet to see Blizzard getting back on track. All I have seen till now are promises.

I saw action.
I saw crafting get attention, I saw crafting use materials that had to be looted. I saw crafting create items that could be BiS, I saw these items bound to account, I saw a step in the direction of putting the loot find back into the game.

The only people pissed at this? The flippers and AH warriors with BiS gear and barely enough kills to get them to lvl 60.

They have said that they intend to pursue the cause to put the loot find back in the genre, further in future, which I believe they will.

Their AH experiments didn't pay off. This company, while disgusting, knows how they fucked up, they will try their best, I'm sure about that, from a purely financial point. It's just a shame, for them and for Diablo fans, that they fucked up the character building and itemisation so badly that it's irreparable, imo.

Jay: Oh for the PvP patch? For the PvP patch, we definitely... I would say, we want to get it out within months after release. I would say, if it showed up close to the end of the year, that would be... I would say, almost a disaster. So I don’t see it slipping out of this year at all, and I think it’ll be much sooner.

he's back...

He got promoted to Head Titan Development Team

Titan got put on hold and all developers moved to D3 Expansion...

Jay Wilson is currently a Lead Figure for the expansion..
D3 is quickly becoming the superior game. I could write a lengthy, detailed response (maybe I will later) but I just woke up. I love PoE but there's far too many issues. When Blizzard hears a ton of feedback on certain issues, they address them. They listen, to everything.

The combat & gameplay in general already take a dump on PoE so if they can get the itemization to even serviceable levels it'll easily become the superior game. Loot 2.0, Loot Runs, Nephalem Trials, all that stuff is coming free with a patch before the expansion, by the way. The expansion gets you a new class, 10 more levels, and new skills for the other 5 classes for those 10 levels, among other things.

He did what he was supposed to do, he said what he was supposed to say (well apart from a certain FTL remark), he went when he was always going to go.

Here's a clue, if he were you, his PoE account name might be Hell_Caprine

I deeply pity Jay Wilson. I really do.

In the end, I think it takes a whole heap of departments and committees and executives to so grandly fuck up a shoe-in like The Next Diablo Game.

To be fair to JW, some of the work he was responsible for in the early to mid alpha/beta versions of D3 was worthy of the name Diablo 3.

To be fair to JW, he took the money.

So, pity? No.
