Guild Wars 2 removed MAGIC FIND. Does POE need IIQ/IIR?
It seems like a lot of people have "rarity" issues and overlook all the possible routes one can take to have mf in this game. You say that the popular mfers dont have to give up anything to have the amount of rarity they have, while that's not true at all... They have to sacrifice both survivability and dmg that's not only for melee. I don't even see the point of these kind of threads anymore. It's just people complaining because they cant cope with what other people can do.
On a side note: A new common orb that can add rarity on items that don't have implicit mods (like the implicit mod on gold rings and ammulets) would be nice, in order to drown all the complains. I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. i love the idea of 2 diferent magic find stats like poe has (IIQ/IIR) but i think it shouldnt be a mod on item , there should be something like entchants you can put on your items

I'm not against MF, but i think it should be reworked a bit, to be on par with another stats. ATM, MF is so wanted, that a simple helm with high triple-MF rolls (IQ, IR, IR) could be worth much more, than one with high life and tripleres (despite it has 4x great stats). When you get MF gear (not gems!), you dont lose much DPS or survivability. And even if you do, more loot gained compensate you double.
For example, my MF-flicker-melee has 40%IQ and 180%IR (without gems). If i change my MF gear with combat one, i wont gain 3x DPS, nor i gain 2x DPS and 2x ES. Yes, i will be able to farm a bit worse-rolled maps, but hey,their loot increase isnt even comparable to loss because of MF. So? MF is just too powerful, and has some abuses like MF culling, that's all. Nerf MF from items a bit, increase MF bonus for hard map rolls (especially hard combos), forbid damn MF culling, etc. IGN: MortalKombat

I hava played melee in most previus games i have played, WW Barb in D2, Monk in D3 ect. so i rolled a melee Cleave build in PoE to start out, from the start i could see i would run into trubble in Merciless and sure enough, act 2 Merciless i hit giant wall, i had no idear what to do, i could keep farming ledge and hope to get a Lucky drop or out lvl the content, or make a new char.
i read Forum for a few days and i decided to make a new char, either Summoner or Sporker, i chose sporker, i farmed and farmed, got ok "wealth" but was so bored i quit 2 times, so as a last resort to keep the fun i sold my items and bought melee gear for my first char. Now i enjoyed the game Again but only for a short while, my char is fun, but the game aint made for fun it seems, with about 30IIR on my melee char i have found 2 Uniques in 14 lvls (64-78) both crap, i get 1 map every 3-5 map i run, and its very rare its higher lvl than the map im running, i get 2-3 rares most maps, but some 0, so even tho i like the game in how skills Work and most gameplay, im about to quit Again. When i ran my sporker i was was back in town to empty bag atleast 1 one time with rares, i build a masive stash of maps i have used on my melee that is now run out, and i collected so much currencies i could craft stuff. As a 0 "MF" char you have no place in endgame, IIR is ok, cap it at 300 or so and let melee weapons have a chance to have it as a suffix, that meens Swords, Mace, Claw and Axe, that way melee could atleast compeed with casters, and remove IIQ, the only thing IIQ do is making the game so hard to balance, since it effect not only currencies and items but also map dropping. |

what choice? there is no choice, you ethier stack IIR and IIQ or find crap
i often switch out of my 100IIQ & 410IIR and kill pitey just to lol at the items XD |

I do really wish MF got nerfed. As it stands right now it feels like there's basically no point farming for loot without a decent amount of MF. It's not even a trade-off, it's MF or go home for the most part.

The lack of patience needs a nerf. All MF does is shorten the time you get to play.

I dont like MF/IIQ/IIR too i think it should be a stat you gain the more you play maibe even removing it completly and or make something server wide
