Guild Wars 2 removed MAGIC FIND. Does POE need IIQ/IIR?

I can only second the proposal to remove all magic find related attributes. At the moment, they favour 1 (low life) build. In addition they are the source for multiboxing which gives players with good gaming equipent a big advantage. Also outcapped characters got an advantage because of this, toosince they can focus on MF.

Down with IIQ and IIR!

This is one of the dumber things to be added to this genre of games and removing it would be nothing but good.
Count me in to those who want it removed or in some way reworked. I know that when the new Anarchy season start, unless something is changed, I will be building a low life sporker, because playing solo without MF is just a waste of time. Playing in groups without a MF culler is also a waste of time. The increase in drops with IIQ is the main factor. I can clear 3 maps without a culler, and I still wouldn't get as much loot as if I had one in party.

Removing magic find from this game would piss a bunch of players off. Alot of people I know enjoy playing a magic find character and this is the fun in the game for them. What does that have to do with you? If you want to see more rares/uniques drop, go find yourself a magic find friend. If you choose to play "self found" or solo, not sure what to tell you. Magic find is one of those things that is too late to remove at this point. There are too many items with magic find or revolve around it, and to screw it up because a vocal minority is crying for it to be removed would be a big mistake.

If you can have a potion that increases MF, why can't you have an aura too? If a person wants to create a character just for MF then that's their option, but if a person who wants to find better gear yet have the balance of survivability an aura might be the solution. I, as a melee character, wouldn't have to give my resistances by swapping out my rings, but i may still be able to upgrade my equipment myself without having to farm incessantly or rely on the kindness of strangers (thanks torturo). The only thing i would to decide is, do i use mana or life.

Also, If more MF mods are added to more equipment; chest pieces, belts, weapons, etc., it would create more diverse builds. I have absolutely no desire to play as a sporker but i want to try some of the uniques that I see. As it is now though, I'll never see most of them because i won't play the cookie cutter builds that most people use to find them. i will never use RMT, I will never multibox, maybe I may finally run in a group; but i prefer playing solo. As a company you want to keep the casual player playing longer. If a person has more options to find loot he plays a little longer. As he finds better equipment, he survives a little better and he plays longer. As he find more loot he needs more space to store it and maybe he buys more stash tabs, now you've made some money and the game can get better for everyone and that's what we all want.

MF is a dumb game mechanic.
