Guild Wars 2 removed MAGIC FIND. Does POE need IIQ/IIR?

I've seen two suggestions in here that I kind of like. The one about making magic find a function of clear speed (like monsters would start with a certain inherent mf for killing them that drops steadily the linger they are awake and alive) and the one about giving you more mf the longer you've played without dying.

GGG is all about balance. All the powerful uniques and passives come at a price. You give up something to get something. So, my suggestion is this: Remove mf from gear. Replace it with mf tokens that you carry in your inventory. So, the balance comes from how many of these tokens you want to carry around with you. The more you carry, the less you can pick up. The characters with max magic find will have to choose an item or two at a time to take back to town, and when they do even in permanent allocation games as soon as they step through the portal everything else on the ground becomes fair game. Sounds balanced to me :)

Everyone who has a fully equipped MFer will say no thanks, everyone who doesn't will say get rid off MF.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
Read through this thread a bit. Though I am surprised by the level of ignorance of some people (iiq most definately does NOT affect map drops). The guy who said irr should be a suffix on melee weapons is absolutely right, the problem is the ease of which some classes can build mf compared to others. Balance is needed. A cap on IIR could also be considered.
Leave it. Just another mini game to play for those who want that boring of a play experience.

If you can't join a group because of your low MF then create your own. Chances are you are not the only one (like me.)

I don't think MF should be removed, just toned down a little.

MF's value is the problem here, you can get so much of it, the difference of having no MF and high MF is night and day. Just tone it down so the difference isn't so much, but don't nerf it so much that going MF is not worth the effort.

Keep MF in the game. 90% of the entertainment I derive from PoE is creating a magic find character and farming for items. I like having the option to create an optimized end-game character or to create a MF character.

Why wouldn't you want to farm on your optimized end-game character (implying he is fun)?
