Chromatic orbs are bullshit.
I agree the bias is a bit strong in terms of what Chromatic Orbs do, though sometimes you get some crazy things from just drops with no Chromatic Orb assistance required:

Sadima's actually has no attribute requirements, so all socket colors are equally likely on it.
That Solaris Circlet is crazy though. What would you even put in it? Reave + Faster Attacks + Added Cold Damage + Cold Penetration? Need game info? Check out the Wiki at: https://www.poewiki.net/

I don't think that the attribute requirements matter.
Those are ES gloves, there is one blue socket there, so at the end it's not that much since it's a on attribute aligned item. The Solaris circlet is kinda ridiculous though. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

" Matters, colors bias is related to int/dex/str requirements, there were statements from GGG in this case on forum. So on Sadima's or Goldrim you can roll anything you want without much problems. Anticipation slowly dissipates... Last edited by tmaciak#3784 on Nov 27, 2013, 10:25:44 AM

Wow, this is really good to know then, especially handy when rerolling chars.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

" How much would you be willing to part with that for, actually? I have an idea for it. A stupid idea, but an idea nonetheless. Need game info? Check out the Wiki at: https://www.poewiki.net/

I'd rather suggest to enable crafting colors per sockets individually, in one way or shape.
(i.e. use chromatics on a per socket base, mouse over would highlight the socket subject to change, with the same odds as we have now) I know it won't be considered by GGG, just my take on the situation. socket color crafting as it stands is my personal No1 reason that I wouldn't try a weapon based ES build again (read: trying for off-colors on a pure ES chest for the main attack skill) If you're leaving PoE, chances are I'll rezz you as my minion! MWHAHAHAH

3 Red sockets on a chest isn't really difficult to roll.
3 Red on a dext/int chest is already a bit more, but manageable. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. Last edited by Fruz#6137 on Nov 28, 2013, 1:01:17 PM

Didn't read more than few first post but its this game way to deal with inflation that people burn all their "currency" on failures, I have come in conclusion that never craft anything in this game and just save all orbs and everything + buy already made stuff. Its pretty much same with anything at all, I burned like 500 jeweller and didnt even get 6socket+I burned over 400alt orbs + didnt get even one decent magic buff. Pretty much doesnt even matter what you are trying to do if it has chance to fail it will fail. So that there wont come too much "good items" they made all orbs useless for other than trading with em. Thats my opinion, if you got some good stuff made by yourself gz, I never got anything.
