Lich Queen Build (Acrobatics/Ranger/Facebreaker/Melee)

People just need to put Facebreaker build in the title, you have 3 nodes out of 120 that increase damage, it is why they will nerf Facebreaker, again. It does too much damage for next to zero passive investment.

Enjoy it while it lasts but these characters will be trashed once they nerf Facebreaker.

I agree that they will most likely change Facebreakers. What they probably should do is build in a base damage for unarmed that goes up as you level, Facebreakers could then have a lower % on them and essentially "level" with you. Also change a bunch of the "xx% to physical melee weapon damage" to "physical melee and unarmed damage" and make Facebreakers have an even lower %. It definitely has to be reworked, and most likely you will no longer be able to avoid damage nodes, but hey, it's still working now, so have fun with it.

I don't ever get the feeling that solwitch was trying to brag when he made this post. I get more of a sense that he felt people could potentially see that an evasion build could work and may just try one themselves. He never says anything like "This is better than _____ build" or "All other builds bow before my might". He merely says this build is working well. Some people actually do post so the community can learn something you know.

I get the feeling that people feel he is bragging because that is what they come to the forums to do. I took a psychology class in high school, so I am an expert on these things ;-) (see that is unwarranted bragging)

"Bragging," I think I was humble when I posted my build. I reviewed all my comments towards players I seem to praise them and take the feedback generously even though some players weren't as nice. In anycase Xal I updated my post give me some feedback; would appreciate your input <3

I love the way you re-worked it. I don't think anyone should accuse you of bragging with that (they probably still will unfortunately). It's a nice simple explanation of how it works. I see the input you took from all of the comments, positive and negative, too.

I have one comment that could help others understand better if they are unfamiliar with some of the game mechanics. Your character is evasion based, but acrobatics and your boots do Dodge. This is a separate mechanic, rolled separately from evasion. This is what makes it so effective. I don't know which rolls first but think of it like this:

The enemy attacks - its a critical hit roll
You roll to block - it fails
You roll to dodge - it fails
You roll to evade - it fails
You get hit
You roll to evade critical damage - it succeeds
You take non-crit damage.

You have 3 separate chances to completely negate non-spell damage. This is BAD ASS. Not only that, but with good evasion you reduce the amount of critical hits you take, always nice. Can an enemy get lucky and crit you into oblivion? Yeah, but they are going to have to be really lucky. Strong enemies you granite flask on, just like other builds would do.

And this is why I thanked you for playing on Standard, so you could perfect the build more quickly, and share it with the rest of us. Hardcore is like typing on an old-school typewriter. If you screw up a page you have to start over. On standard there is a backspace key. I am not saying there is anything wrong with old-school typewriters, they are in fact amazingly intricate machines, and get the job done, and you can take pride in your final result because it takes so much skill. But where would we all be without backspace keys today?

That's my pearl of wisdom today people.

Still interested in op's /deaths.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
I respect your curiosity but I think the death number would be more telling if he had been using auras and curses the whole time. Also for a large portion of the population if his answer is anywhere over 0 they may start to foam at the mouth.

How much are 950% 4 socket roll-able facebreakers these days?
I have always thought that stacking tons of life shouldn't be absolutely mandatory (which I feel that it has been since I first started playing this game). However, with only 8% life, I have no idea how you could possible survive with this build. Even with 250% life I have never seen a viable evasion build, yet you claim it works. You may get 95% chance to evade projectiles and good dodge as well, but it seems to me that any hit that lands would be instant death (not to mention you can't evade spells - even with over-capped resists, spells in high levels zones should one-shot a character like this). The evasion on your gear/in the tree seems far too low to make up for the complete lack of life.

There are glaringly obvious flaws with the build (why 120% armor? at least 10 wasted points on taking an inefficient path. 120 pnt build lol. why stun threshold reduction? why not shield passives, you are right beside many very good ones)

Every build can be one-shot by something, but this build seems like it can be one-shot by everything. I would love to see gameplay of this build in action. I am intrigued but still very skeptical; if I ever get the chance I will try it myself.

Edit: Yep Granite's are up almost 80% of the time and don't forget my hp flask with another 75% evasion that means with acrobatics, base evasion I have three chances to evade an attack.

Roll 1= 75% Flask
Roll 2= 50% Base
Roll 3= 20% Acrobatics

is wrong. The flask simply increases your evasion stat (the stuff you get from your gear). Increasing your evasion increases your chance to evade. And you should have 46% chance to dodge from your build/gear (20% base + 10% from small nodes + 16% from darkray). Still it is a ridiculously high chance to not get hit by attacks.

Thanks for the feedback.

1. Taking the shortest path to nodes that are far more aggressive in augmenting your defensive. Steel Armor in my opinion is better than getting Shield nodes. We are talking about 30% in increased armor Global vs %from just shield. The 2% add block chance is not in my opinion worth it especially since we are not going up the tree to get inner force. Also Resistance is far more important to max than blocking attacks. If I would have taken those shield nodes I would have taken farther paths wasting valuable nodes.

2. Why not stun? Simple lets augment Facebreakers already 10% stun threshold reduction. By adding another 10% in addition by heading that way we pick up 2% additional life leech. Rather op if you ask me.

3. The flasks you are right I must have read something and misinterpreted the thread. Thanks for pointing that out.

4. Deaths, oh how everyone wants to know at this point I can say this... Its to die for.... ;) I will unveil these statistics very soon. I'll put it this way I already leveled twice in less than an hour while updating this forum etc... let the assumptions begin. Oh and Kole he does not one shot me... so hmmmm.... what can we all take from that. :)

Thanks for the feedback really appreciate it. I wish other posts (not all) were as respectful and intuitive as yours :)

One slight glimpse at the Skilltree and I don't really get what all this fuss is about.
The Skilltree is not nearly Min/Maxed hence this guy is just starting his journy.

No need to totally destroy his thoughts.

To pick all those Res-Nodes at Marauder is highly doubtful to do, you should aim on maxing your resistances with equip and take maybe endurance charges into consideration while min/maxing them.

You are taking a path from duelist to marauder by starting of with 4 nodes to connect, while right under the big circle there are two str nodes which would be sufficent to connect the duelist part with rauder part: 2 points saved. (I guess there are many more paths to optimize)

You are investing alot into avoiding status alignments which I would rather de-buff with a pot than "wasting" skill points on them.

And a lot more which could be pointed out :D

As everyone else said; I highly doubt that you can run 5 maps without dying once 'cause of the lowlife pool, this would mean the char is not really "playable" in endgame with full parties.

I noticed something, you have to change either the tree or the bandits. Cant have 120 points and bandit rewards. I figure you can fix that before someone's explodes about it lol.

And a side note to what BigRussianDude said, it can't evade them but this build Dodges spells 20% of the time. I get your point that spells are a danger to this build so I am not trying to be an ass, just wanted to point that out.

No not at all. I just copied and pasted the wrong skill tree. I had the four tabs open on chrome copied the wrong url. Sorry about that <3 and I currently have max resistance hence even if a spell manages to get through the damage is extremely minor. I'm at 79% resistances with purity atm. Let's see physical damage spells from power siphon mobs in Lunaris don't hurt me at all, just an example. Because of my movement speed coupled with evasion they are dead before they can touch me let's not forget I cast enfeeble.
