Lich Queen Build (Acrobatics/Ranger/Facebreaker/Melee)
I'm amazed of the ability of so many forumites to reach their ass with their mouth, shit on it and then spew the crap here. That's amazing, circus-worthy flexibility, folks.
I'd love to see the character sheet. A vid would be awesome. |

" " I don't know, I'd be pretty offended if someone said this to me. It's not just a matter of having more or less experience with the game, but how you act based on what experience you have. I'll second what Xalmaren said - it's one thing to say "I don't think this will work, because X", and quite another to say "You think this works? You're delusional and your playstyle is unworthy of consideration, because X." When it comes to evasion, "X" mostly seems to refer to hypothetical "one-shots" or "RNG", neither of which have shown up so far as I've seen. Sure, my two-hander duelist dies with some regularity in Merciless Anarchy (/death count is in the 30s or so), but none of those deaths have been one-shots, and he's got less than 800 life. Worst look how awesome my build/character is thread I've ever seen.

I don't understand why one would get life regen nodes with almost no life nodes. Also y not trade some of that 15000 dps for some survivability? Even with 75+ resists you can get killed pretty fast with <900 hp by elemental damage which is a lot more accurate than physical attacks. If you enjoy playing this way than kudos but if it were my build I'd invest more into health.

Why do so many have negative feelings associated with OP. I don't think sol made this thread with the intention of making everyone say "Oh shit, I need to ditch my build and run to this!" GGG changes evasion in a major patch and everyone shits on the guy trying to show that you don't need a Kaoms or a million life nodes to have fun.
Sol: How is the mid-level questing/leveling aspect of the build? Does the evasion shine more at higher level or is it effective throughout the journey there? I've got a few failed mid level rangers that need to be respected. I don't know if I'll copy you exactly, but I like your core concept. ign defnob

" The evasion like other attributes gets an estimation on the current level you are based off vs current enemies at your level. When we look at evasion it is incredibly unreliable but there is a catch. When you consider acrobatics it is actually apart from our base evasion. With the exception of items like Missconception on this, this add's 50% to base evasion after reviewing my stats and testing this out it does not seem to increase acrobatics or spell dodge nodes. "Global," seems misleading. The game rolls your base and acrobatics evasion separately. As you level it is important to keep items with evasion and armor. You get two rolls on evasion, worth while if you ask me. With enemies elemental damage it is not a huge deal because resistances plays an important factor as well. Keeping your resistances at max will insure a favorable outcome vs enemies with elemental damage. So you have damage mitigation from resistances in conjunction from spell evasion node. Seems rather op if you ask me. Elemental evasion is seperate from elemental attacks. Evasion only affects melee and ranged attacks. If we take a look at the majority of maps, enemies have reflect damage (majority of the time), evasion in my opinion is the best source to avoid being one shot with a facebreaker build. Now to your point of whether evasion scales well as you level, yes. (http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Evasion) In my opinion I noticed favorable outcome keeping my evasion above 40% at all times. However there is a misconception on the thread that I am negating HP. I am not, I am refraining from HP nodes but that does not mean that life is not important. The build is extremely dependent on life, "hence I have Blood Magic." Could I have invested in life nodes, absolutely. But I want something different. As I posted before tired of, "Path of Life Nodes." You will have an exceptional good time leveling through this build, feel to change and make a different paths. (no pun intended) I don't mind, this is not a "build to rule them all." It's a build that I am designing out of sheer curiosity. Ironically I am choosing this path for myself. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. -Robert Frost "Another... so solwitch says that there is nothing original on my low life flicker strike build, ive seen 1 person runing low life non spell builds beside me, and ive never seen someone using low life melle, i don´t think ill ever see a low life flicker strike beside me.
ok but you know my build is not orginal, there are plenty of flicker strikers runing 7k es and blood rage with vaal pact. ya its ok i guess more people run flicker strike than the amount of those who use facebreaker. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8vAcNMVw08 IGN: RFFP

I am using evasion on my level 76 Bow Ranger, and my level 62 Leap Slam Duelist. Evasion is great, and highly underrated by theorycrafters.

Quick reminder that the op repeatedly dodged the question about his /deaths.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

" Certain theorycrafters, anyway. Autocthon has a pretty good theorycraft-style explanation of the pros and cons of evasion (mostly the pros, since as you've noticed those seem to be ignored more often). I have wandered through insanity;
