There's always hope: " Thoughts on an official linux port? (perhaps with vulkan?) I would like to have an official linux port, but quite frankly our engine programmers have more important performance work to do right now! Once Path of Exile supports more than one graphics API it will be easier to add support for more. Right now we are working on having the engine support both DX9 and DX11. i think adding "community supported port" to steam as is while there is no official client will be a good step towards unix player base. There is no need to add info about linux and mac supported systems on system requirements steam page. That's how bistudio have made: you can download and play arma 3 on linux and mac though there is no info about it on steam (till it will catch same version and port is stable). 645 GNU/Linux on 3 of my PC, the 4th has Windows 7 only for games (but I would like to switch it to GNU/Linux too).
