PC Gamer unveils Descent race events

Won't play it, because of fps spikes :) 2 mil - 1 already.

Will there be descent races in the future with standard items which won't involve a wipe at the end? Because that would be even better.

The fact that you lose everything is a deal breaker to me...it feels like a waste of time. I guess it will good for farming points...

I hope GGG consider using the endless dungeon part of this to the main game in a future patch, it's good to have endless dungeon for the sake of variety and to work against the boredom of mostly static act maps with static monster spawns that we find in all acts.

Sounds fun but I don't care for items being destroyed when the race ends.

I assume someone's been watching the online Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup matches on the dev team. I'm pretty excited about this considering I haven't had a chance to play for the last month or so.

Some of the Devs are playing DCSS?
Are there recordings, what's their account name?
I love that game, lost so many hours in it.

I'd really like a permanent descent league, hopefully these races are simply structure tests for a permanent implementation.

An unending solo dungeon (with increasing difficulty each level) would be the ultimate end game for me.

interesting might make me come back to try this new stuff out,,, until then.

Haven't had a go with races in a while, but I'll be sure to try out Descent, sounds promising.
