We are very against adding meta-options (like looting modes) to the game for a variety of reasons, so they are seen as a last resort.

People would still "ninja" maps in an instanced setting. The mechanics would be different, however the end result is the EXACT same. You opened a map, and did not get the/any maps that dropped inside of it. There is NO DIFFERENCE.

Of course. As would everyone else. Everyone would have an endgame, and the creator of a Map would not have the desperate need to get another Map to drop in order to continue his endgame, because there would always be public games available to him instead when he runs dry.

It is not remotely like that since the commodity in question is benefitting 6 people and is consumed in the process.
Did you know level 91 is the halfway point to level 100? This means that a softcore character dying ONCE at level 85+ can lose many days of progress.

Well, before level 73 i had no maps, then maps started dropping a little by little but that's because i started clearing areas fast and killing a big number of mobs in a short period of time.
Now i have round 6 level 66 maps and 12-14 level 67-68 ones, and hoping soon to get some level 69-70.
I would happily clear maps with strangers, if the loot system was like in D3 or similar. And i am talking only about the group loot system in D3, not all the other parts of the game which are failures.
Even if they make the timer 10 seconds, i will not party with strangers since often the game desyncs or lags hardcore because of all the effects from projectiles, etc.. on the screen.
So yeah, sorry. If they make it like in D3 or similar or some safe way for you to get your loot, ok, but for now no, i prefer to progress 10 times slower than having this loot system.
