Hello captain obvious.

Your point, while valid in the wrong kind of theory, is flawed.

Solo play means all monster focus fire on you alone unless you use totems/summons. Add more players and this focus fire aspect goes away. Add player amount to six and monsters are completely toothless doing small hits here and there and generally acting like they have no plan whatsoever to win the fight. Monsters living slightly longer (well, not longer, try maths for 3.5x hp and 6x damage) does not change the equation where you have 6x hit points to tank the same incoming damage.

Of course your point is valid too. If we are talking about well coordinated premade party you're pretty much right, and I cannot argue with your point.
But there are some twists to it: People are idiots. They are tend to be uncoordinated, careless and generally dumb sometimes. I'm a hardcore player, and I saw no less than 7 deaths in parties while leveling my current toon through Normal and and Cruel. Most of those deaths happened because people overestimated their ability to deal damage to mobs and therefore took too much damage themselves. Keep in mind - I mostly leveled my toon solo, with occasional partying.

My primary concern is that: if we will directly increase the amount of damage that moobs are dealing to players in parties (let's say +10% per player in party ) it will be a great threat to get oneshoted in groups. And that is not fun. It will basically render partying useless.
And that’s a job for GGG. They need to figure out how to add difficulty to multiplayer without making it unfair. I personally think that for each additional player monsters should gain 1-2% attack/cast/movement speed. Also they should increase the frequency that mobs spawn with fork, ark, and AOE skills.

I'm not sure 'damn' is even considered a bad word anymore. That was so 90s.

I grew up in the 90’s maybe I’m just showing my age… I still think poster needed to dial it back a bit.

OMFG look who's here. I remember you.
You are one of the cancers who destroyed TL2 with your constant casual whining of instanced loot etc.

Aye. I remember you as well. It's funny, but if I recall Torchlight 2 never gave in to doing full respecs. The people that wanted it used the console to get respec potions without being flagged as a cheater. You could even modify your stash in Torchlight 2 via hex editors or whatever.

Torchlight 2 was a very casual aRPG. You couldn't ruin what was meant for fun and little or no competition.

By the way, I didn't tell Runic Games to implement instanced looting in their game... so I'm puzzled why you said such a thing. I think you meant full respecs, which last I checked didn't kill the game. You know what did? Can't party with people in a different NG than you are. Many people probably also quit because of no in-game lobby chat system or w/e.

It was a fun game for what it was.

By the way I dunno who has been worse:

Vooodu on this forum, or mushioov while I was on the torchlight forums? Both attack individuals rather than the points they've made for who knows why. Also, both consider what they type as 'feedback' ??? No. If you look on page 1 GGG said they would prefer actual feedback on the matter. Some of you guys just seem way too uptight about everything.

This has just turned into a big troll thread. There's no real issue here. I hope this thread hits a max page limit, gets locked, and no new ones open up.
