Looting -- The official thread for discussing the loot system. Updated 18th March, 2013.
" Although widely off topic I'd say that adding difficulty sohuldn't come too much from adding to direct damage of monsters since like always it's spikes that kill you, not the sustained 'normal' damage. I wouldn't mind dropping the quantity bonus alltogether and just put +50% monster pack size per extra player :) Would make for some epic fights against huge packs of champions and rares would come in multiples too =) Anyway, this is widely off topic so I apologize for the answer, and hope someone can dig up the appropriate thread for continuing this path of discussion if deemed relevant. |

" Let me sum up your valid claims/facts: The loot system they intended for the game is too unfair because: a. People get your loot because you have a shitty internet and can't afford real internet & b. It's too much work for a person to kill monsters AND pick up loot Did I miss anything? |

" ... except that it isn't a matter of "fairness". It's just about improving the features of the game. Currently the timer takes away the FFA that a lot of people really want, such as vooodu has stated, but some people would rather not have that competitiveness in their party they created, which is also true. Not to mention the current loot implementation has names as to suggest that items belong to that player. It is incorrect, but the names directly imply to the player that it is theirs, therefore the miscommunication you've seen already occurs. There's a bit more to it than what I've stated, but I've given a few fair points that had nothing to do with "fairness" at all. IGN: Mibuwolf Last edited by mibuwolf#7946 on Mar 14, 2013, 2:00:49 PM

" I would argue that it does the opposite. Since public parties are so ruthless in stealing loot, it forces people to make friends and allies. |
