That is plain wrong and i'm surprised you say it so "serene"
@mobutu

This game is meant to be fun, not necessarily relaxing. Relaxing is what casuals like to do and this game isn't intended for casuals.

I doesnt matter, you havent addressed at all my core arguments, you just sneak behind them with low quality bla bla.
The facts are there, if its gotten in your head that you really dont have to trust that 1+1 is 2 then its your problem.

When there is a switch, there is no incentive for trust outside of it. Anyone walking around without switch is advertising himself as potentially radical anarchic, with high disregard for a treaty. I don't believe frightened people will any more give someone a chance to prove of trustworthiness, it should be a product of social competence I think.

Why do you believe that real world humanity has laws to govern society?

This is because PoE is designed to be challenging.

Yeah, in hardcore, cutthroat, races etcera leagues.
Not in default league.

Wow, you're about as hardcore as my great-granddaughter.

Yeah, he's so hardcore and i find it extremely interesting how someone like himself can come here and keep pro-ffa lectures when in fact he doesn't even know one of the the very basic aspects of this game:

Exactly. Hence all of the issues with FFA.

Explain casual. Casual generally means someone who doesn't play a whole lot while hardcore are on nearly 24/7. In this case your completely wrong. GGG does want casuals. This is evidenced in how they are discussing/debating the looting mode issue right now.

If they wanted to make a pure hardcore game they wouldn't have slapped on the annoying timers to attempt to placate ranged/bad connection people.

They also would could have let us invade eachothers games and attack eachother. You know an actual cutthroat game. But stuff like that is optional. This isn't ONLY for the most hardcore players.

They should have made it true hardcore, without any UI. So you had to press commands to use the functions, that'd be hardcore!

The truth is, that ARPG's are casual by their nature.

If you ask me, creating chaos between players that prevents groups from acting as a cohesive unit is actually an interesting mechanic. A particular attack might devastate a group... an item dropping might have the same effect (or worse).

I still think pure FFA loot is a bad idea, but at the very least I understand why the devs though it might be interesting in the first place... and, if you could imagine a third party watching party members suddenly scramble for loot in the middle of a fight, it is the most interesting setup from an observer perspective.

That perfect and dandy, i too understand why the devs though it might be interesting but in this judgement there is a big major flaw that simply just nullifies it:

It's not cutthroat without the actual cut-throat!

You cannot create a "cutthroat" atmosfere without full pkill consequences.
When 2 baddies exiles in same brotherhood/group both decide that they want the fresh shiny loot just dropped from a particulary monster its natural/logical that they'll fight over it and one will die from that clash.

That is why the devs vision regarding this is just plain wrong: there are no consequences from taking that multi-person-desired-loot.

The devs designed this game with the intention that looting WILL BE competitive.

If you dont like it you either need to get used to it, or play another game.

This game wasn't made to cater to "2013 gamers" who think loot is supposed to handed out freely..not even close. It was made by people FOR people that want the opposite. Why can't you people understand this?

ushela we have heard those craps like 200 times...they are NOT original they are NOT facts and in the end they are crap talks. the truth is

a) there is nothing competitive in looting, there is only ninja and greed. if you want competition you play PvP....at least use half a braincell to comprehend that

b) start your own company and tell your customers " hey i do not want your feedback, take it or beat it" and see how far you go. We do not discuss to change poe to another game, just fix the flaws from the PAST

c) you tell that, devs ARE discussing it, devs ARE asking for feedback...blatant claim here

d) we are in 2013, we pay to have fun in 2013 , GGG asks the money of a 2013 customer...why YOU do not understand EVEN the basics?

e) hardcore crowd CANT' financaly support any game...other devs and studios tried that and ALL failed (and we are talking for multi million $$$ studios)

edit: sorry i forgot to counter one more of your stupid claims...we do not ask FREE LOOT...we say that since someone is participating the killing of a mob (=dps) should take loot as a reward....who sayed that need free loot? another blatant claim
When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself
