Developer video on the new skill tree

Well, that huge Skill-tree is amazing, and i love what you guys done to elemental nodes on templar side, we will need to find a way to replace our old build, but for sure it will only improve the game and most important balance it.

i was a little bit tired of the same builds, everyone with a bow and elemental damage, when you reach chaos its all you see, and sometimes a witch, but mostly bows...

i hope this next patch improves the variety of builds in game.

Thanks.
This is a probably a stupid question but will we get our current skill tree wiped when the patch comes?

Like I said, its not a massive deal breaker for me, but close to it(From the looks of it, withhout being able to test/read it myself) *Hint* Why I need alpha =D *

So I can only speculate on what I can see, which isnt a alot, but enough to worry me.

I guess, I will have my say upon release of the new system where I can actualy get a in-depth look at it.

I wont accept it if this becomes more douchy after this... Because none the less it is a restriction(Regardless of how pedantically Mods/Staff claim it to be better.... =D )

And there was other idea's thrown up that seem less intrusive to the new system.

And if the elemental damages are spread thats definitly a good thing. +1.

It most definitly is more neat and tidy(Not that I cared) +1

Total passive refund.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

The new tree looks cleaner, more streamlined and more symmentrical. Class identity also appears more pronounced.

The branching nodes between class borders with 2x +30 offstat nodes are a welcome improvement as well. In the previous tree, some classes had an abundance of large offstat nodes near their starting locations while others had few or none (and was also the case with other node types throughout the tree), an imbalance that wont be missed.

Cant really comment on build carryover until the patch, but im less concerned with whether or not my current characters make the transition flawlessly than i am with overall balance, which was somewhat lacking on the previous tree and probably not fixable without this sort of full makeover.

They should give us a tree-builder (or several variants) we can play with online, then allow feedback.

My minmax ocd kicks in: on the witch part there is 1 unnecessary intelligence node picked near templar start which could be spend more wisely elsewhere.

lol I noticed the same thing in the video. You are not alone.

Hey Devs and beta testers!

I'm really excited about the new skilltree / skillgrid! Even though this means my build is gone I'm still excited about what the difference will be since I'm going to go for pretty much the same build (Duelist with dual swords, IAS, quad-auras)

Hopefully it will be as much fun as the first time I got to sit down and really look for those specific nodes and calculate the routes and in how many levels I am there... :)

Lastly, thank you for this super fun and awesome game! Really wipes the floor with the competition!
